Best laid plans and all that ...... we were almost at where Kellie has her dance class, when she threw up very comprehensively all over herself and her car seat, overflowing on to the back seat of the car  She does get carsick occasionally but never has with us before. So we had to turn around and come home. Total change of clothes for her and I was able to get the covers off her car seat so all that is in the washing machine. Edward has washed out the back seat of the car and we shall have to see how it dries out. She is fine now, just had her lunch.

Poor Kellie

I was the same when younger, but thankfully grew out of it.

Harry used to get terribly carsick! He's pretty much grown out of it now, but can still get a bit nauseous on long journeys. He got a bit green on the dolphin trip we did in Lanzarote :?

Poor Kellie, glad she's ok now, and I hope the car seats recover! xx

A visit to the Templecombe Medieval Pageant today - great fun but very hot.

Loads of folk there (a large field outside the village) and quite a gathering of Medieval Societies from across the UK, including Norfolk, Plymouth, and the Hospitalers from Ireland. Most were dressed medievally (!) a lot of multi-coloured dyed fabrics and plenty of exotic headgear. Four "roads" of stalls selling everything from spiced pickles to amulets to blacksmith crafted tools and ornaments.

For entertainment we had a wandering hurdy-gurdy man playing and singing folk-songs, a harpist, The World Famous Devil-Stick Pete  who was a very clever acrobat and illusionist, and in the main arena a demonstration of ancient cannons (several fires had to be put out :o  ) and a falconry display (kestrel, buzzard and lanner falcon). It was so hot in the sun, though, we didn't stay for the jousting :| home for a large of mug of tea and a snooze .....
