Good Morning Sunday

Postby JanB » 02 Jun 2019, 05:56

Morning everyone

Another glorious sunrise and another lovely summers day coming up 8-)

Not sure what I'll be doing today, not a lot probably  Will do the watering once I've had my coffee and Grumpy will be doing some rendering before it gets too hot. Will be in the pool later 8-)

And dare I say it, but we had a very quiet night :Hi: :Hi: apart from Molly waking me at 4.00 this morning, wanting to go out

Treating ourselves to a cooked breakfast later.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

That's cats for you Jan, awkward!
Eliza slept through bless her. I think she was really tired when she went to bed last night.
Chicken for dinner today. In a while our daughter will be coming down and will stay for dinner. Not sure if anyone else is coming today.
Dull and cloudy here but mild.
Have a good day everyone. :)

Morning Jan and Crommers and everyone

Jan, glad the night was quiet; yay!
Crommers enjoy the chicken dinner with the family - I love family dinners :D

I had a so so night - woke up at 1am with the smell of smoke; really catching in back of throat kind. I was worried that the BBQ of the neighbours had flared up again but suspect it's someone that's burning illegally so doing it at stupid hours - we have a problem with that here; quite a few people have said they can smell smoke at night but no-one is really sure where it's coming from. then 5am the cats got restless so I got up and fed them and went back to bed and dozed off until 8. Going to get a load of washing into the machine and then off to the allotment for a few hours and back for relaxed pootling at home.

it's a lovely morning, but going to be overcast and muggy apparently with the chance of rain - but wont be enough so I'll be watering the garden a bit later

have a lovely day all xxx Happy Sunday

Morning all, just typed out a really long post, then lost it thanks to a network error  :cute:

Jan fingers crossed that your noise issue is sorted! XX

Ria, that burning thing is odd, and annoying! Hope your day improves, and you enjoy your time at the allotment :D

Morning Crommers! :)

My lost post was mainly me moaning about an overnight invasion of ants, something that has plagued us on and off here since we first moved in! At least this time they seem to have come in via the front, and were in the hall, and round the dining room table, rather than the kitchen worktops and units, like before! Mick has been outside and sprayed round, hopefully that's sorted it  :cute:

Hoping for a nice relaxing Sunday, despite the slightly fraught start! Mick has just nipped out to run B to work, we'll be out for our usual Sunday cuppa and mooch in a while :) We noticed yesterday that BBC4 was showing Inspector Montalbano last night, one of our faves, so we'll watch it on the player later :)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all, it is mostly dull here today with occasional glimpses of the sun. Kellie stayed in bed until I went into her this morning at nearly 8am but I was still awake before 6.30  She is going to play with her cousin for a few hours today, then my sister will collect her and come here for dinner (another chicken dinner here, Crommers, followed by jelly and ice cream.) Miss Osc FaceTimed Kellie yesterday evening, and then phoned this morning. They really are having a super time. They are staying in Cap d’Ail and today is a free day, so there will be beach time, plus they want to show Michael around Monaco, most particularly the race track as he is a Formula 1 fan.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny 8-)

We're being lazy again, the weather's so nice plan to spend some time sitting in the garden. Another roast chicken dinner here later, strawberry blancmange and blackcurrant jelly for pud.

Have a good day :D

We've had all sorts of weather today - warm, sunny, then rain, breezy, cooler....you name it! It's currently bright and proper windy!!!

So it's Donna's mother's 60th month (well the day was yesterday but she's already had many celebrations and today is another) so the adults went to a club for afternoon drinks and we had the kids, after they'd been to a birthday party so we picked them up from that as well. They've been great though, not seen them in a while. Last night we were out! Out!! We never go out on Saturday nights!! Yvonne at work had invited Anne, our only female optician now, to stay at hers overnight, and last night was good for them both - and Yvonne also invited us. She and her hubby Phil live in our village, but it was the first time Tom and Phil had met, and they got on like a house on fire! Yvonne's house is gorgeous, but her garden is just WOW!!!! It wasn't nice enough to sit outside, but we did sit in the conservatory and chatted all evening. I wasn't feeling 100% but I did have a drink and some delicious soup that Yvonne had made, and bread. We left to walk home about 11.30 - a really good night (Anne was staying over as she had a longish drive)

So all in all, a lovely weekend!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend all xxx
