Good Morning Sunday

Morning everyone

Another lovely morning, another not so lovely chilly start  Although each day is getting hotter, it's just the wind making it feel cooler.

Bit of a disturbed night in that the blasted dog was barking for an hour or so :cute: :cute: So I ring the police 8-) He said that is they couldn't gain access then, the patrol would be out today, so keeping fingers crossed. And they have guests too

Going into Ourique soon, to get breakfast. Roast chicken  Oh and wine, as it's on an offer and we will need some for our guests who arrive in a couple of weeks ;)

Pootling when we get back and a bbq later. Then the footie :Hi: England women first, then Portugal :D Força Portugal :Hi: :Hi:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

I hope the dog stuff gets sorted soon Jan, it's just not on!

Bit tired this morning after such a long day yesterday. I'm sure that brunch in Correttto's will wake us up a bit ;) Otherwise looking forward to a nice lazy day. It looks fairly bright, but a bit cloudy.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Good morning all, we have sunshine at the moment but more rain is forecast for later. Yesterday started with rain which was very heavy at times and finally stopped at around 6 when the sky cleared to give us a lovely sunny evening.

Bill's had a long walk, John's gone for a bike ride and the washing is out on the line so I'm hoping that'll dry before any rain starts. Tom's still asleep, Bill's been in his room to see him but failed to wake him, and I can hear Shannon moving around in the spare room, she doesn't lie in for long. Not sure what the plans are for the rest of the day, I suppose it's best to see what the weather does. I think Joe and Amanda will want a lift from the station at some point though. He didn't know if they're heading straight back after checking out of the hotel or are having a few hours around Birmingham. Last we heard of them last night they were in The Alchemist on Colmore Row.

Kaz, a leisurely brunch sounds ideal today.

Have a good day all!

Enjoy your lazy day Kaz, you had a busy one yesterday. Sounds like your day is a full one too Jo.

You'll have drunk all that before they turn up, lol!

We went to the graveyard the other day to put some new flowers on our parent's graves. Cutting the hedge next to the graveyard was a local man - character really, everybody knows him - called Tuffin. I've no idea what his real name is. He's 75 now. We compared aches and pains and then he mentioned a mutual acquaintance called Bill. Bill is also known to everyone in the village, he used to be a mighty (and mighty hard) rugby player. Bill is 76 and he's still working! And not at an office job either, outside doing building work! He used to be a scaffolder and he's still going; currently he's building someone a wall. Amazing.

Back in the day when villages were smaller there did seem to be more characters around; nowadays not so much.

In other news our son is coming round to give me a Father's day card. Which is verynice of him. Shall I tell him it's next Sunday?

Have a good day all.

Morning all, it is a nice morning here. We were a bit later to bed last night as we were out dancing, had great fun. So we've just had a brunch sort of breakfast as we are going dancing again this afternoon, and there will be tea, sambos and cake. We need to leave early as our kettle has died and as we (nearly) pass an electrical shop, we will pop in and buy a new one.

Crommers, Kellie was busy telling me during the week about what they had got Daddy for Father’s Day, and that Edward would be getting a card from her Mummy, I hope they don’t think it is today

Afternoon all :D

Dry at the moment, we'll see.....

I hope the police get the noise issue sorted Jan, as Kaz says, it really isn't on!!

My sister lives in Noosa Queensland Saundra, luckily the snow hasn't come that far down. She's on holiday in China at the moment, bet she'll get a shock when she gets home.

  Well they say it's the thought that counts Crommers.

We slept in really late this morning. Having another lazy day, roast chicken for dinner later, vanilla blancmange with lemon and lime jelly for pud.

Have a good day :D
