Good Morning Tuesday

Postby JanB » 11 Jun 2019, 06:01

Morning everyone

A few clouds around but they will soon clear and we'll have another rather warm day.

The fire is under control, thank heavens :Hi: That was a little bit too close for comfort.

Will be working outside this morning, before it gets too hot. I would like all the dead weeds and grasses pulled up on the drive. Did some yesterday, waiting for non arrivals  Antonia and Jan  But we talked on the phone, and met Antonia down at the bar anyway

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it's pouring down here!

Joe's gone to college, and then that's him finished. His three years there have flown by. Tom had his first induction session for his course yesterday afternoon. He thinks that he'll find out which school he'll be based at when he has his next session in a couple of weeks.

I've got a Tesco food delivery coming later this morning and I'll keep an eye open to see if it actually stops raining at any point so that I can at least take Billy around the block. I did that yesterday teatime though, and thought we'd manage a quick loop of the common, and ended up drenched.

Saundra, how's Iona?

Have a good day all!

Morning all :)

Jan, that did sound a bit close! I'm glad it's out xx

Jo, that three years went quickly :o Wishing both your boys good luck in their new ventures xxx

It's pouring here too! Mick is still away until tonight, and the dogs have run down the garden, done their business, and run back in, so they won't want a walk in this! I am highly tempted to stay in with them rather than walk up to D's as per, but I don't like her seeing nobody for days on end, so will get my boots, mac and brolly out and brave the elements :cute:

Have a good (dry!) day everyone! xxx

Morning all. Good luck to your lads Jo. It's just stopped raining here. MrsC has warned me that if I say "Never mind, it's good for the garden" one more time, she will visit violence upon my person. :( Don't get too wet Kaz! Jan, that must have been very worrying.
We have a free day so I'll be cooking a bolognese later for the freezer. The air con on the car needs to be re-gassed but looking outside, that's not a priority today!
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Looking at the piccies on BBC News we seem to have escaped the heavy rain and flooding a lot of people in Kent suffered yesterday. It rained on/off all day but only came down really heavily around 6ish, actually interfered with our Sky signal, luckily it didn't last too long. Think today is supposed to stay nice, but we're in for more rain over the next couple of days.

Up quite early, I have an appointment at the hairdresser for my usual cut/colour/blowdry this morning. If the weather stays nice as promised we'll probably pop into town for a mooch later this afternoon.

Stay dry and have a good day :D

Greetings all - nearly the end of the day but better late than never

Not much to report here, no rain today thankfully - after yesterday I don't think there's any water left in the clouds; my oh my did it pour down the whole day.

A bit of feline volunteer work this evening - only 30 / 45 mins or so and then home for an early night. I've had two rather late nights which is never good when you have to go to work the next day.

Enjoy the rest of the evening everyone xxx
