Good Morning Thursday

Postby JanB » 13 Jun 2019, 06:43

Morning everyone

Chilly wind again but will warm up to 27C again later.

Molly has just come in, said hello and gone back out again

Ironing for me later and will be watching a place in sun whilst I'm doing it, as it's the East Algarve. Then curry making for Saturday. Wouldn't normally have curries this time of year, but it is unseasonably cold :cute: Will do the prep for dinner afterwards.

Giving bending over a miss for a day or so - my back objects after 10 minutes or so

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan, morning everyone

Glad Molly has put in an appearance Jan. Love how you consider 27 degrees to be cold; you should move here - middle of June and it's only reaching the high teens! I'll take your 27 any day :D (but then having grown up in SA I totally get you - so only kidding).

Be careful with your back; you both do so (too) much.

Had an early start this morning as we had an 8am meeting; and then having nails done tonight; so home a bit later than normal. I am sooo looking forward to the weekend and having two days of general pootling about and not having to be anywhere at any particular time :D

Have a lovely day all xx

That's cats for you. :)
Not long to the weekend Ria!
Shortly we are taking FiL to the bank to transfer money over from his savings to his current account. Let's hope it goes more smoothly than yesterday when my sister in law took him to the post office. He couldn't remember the Pin number on his card and there was a queue behind him. The staff were very good, they got a chair out for him and sat him down whilst sil phoned up MrsC to see if she remembered the number. (She did).
After that I'll be doing a cottage pie for the evening meal; it's that sort of weather too for food like that, none too warm.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :)

I would kill for some sun, it might shift this bad chest of mine  Off to D's soon, to go Sainsbury's shopping. No Pilates tonight, the doc said to take it easy until I feel better

Jan, I'm glad Molly is back :)

Ria, what colour are you having your nails? Mine are a DIY job at the moment, a fuschia pink :)

I hope things go more smoothly for your FiL today Crommers xxx

Morning all, it is grey and cold here :( Lucky you, Ria, with temperatures in the high teens. At the moment it is only 10 degrees here  Thursday, so child minding. Michael has a tennis match at 5.45 so I will bring him to that as Miss Osc is having a facial at 5pm - we both bought a 4 for 3 block some time ago and she is only now having her first one after I positively ordered her to go and have it. Kellie had her big school induction yesterday, I can’t believe she starts big school in September  She is delighted because her two best playschool friends and her cousin will all be in her class. Right, better get moving and do a few bits and pieces before going to collect her.

Not sure yet Kaz, but it'll be something pale and not in your face. I've been doing a fair amount of work in the garden / allotment recently and some of the gel overlays have lifted and nails broken etc... so going to be subdued on the colour and not draw attention to short horrid nails :D

Very changeable, one minute sunny the next raining, the forecast isn't good

It's weekly shop for us, M&S and Tesco, fingers crossed we don't get as wet as yesterday.

Have a good day :D

Good afternoon all. I'm going to whisper this...it's finally stopped raining after more than 48 hours of it.
There's more forecast though.

I'm playing catch up today. I've got to change the bedding in the spare room. Amanda had stayed on Tuesday night, Shannon's staying tonight, Amanda's here again tomorrow night and then Shannon's staying on Sunday night before Amanda stays again next Tuesday. I feel like a flippin' chambermaid.

I had a good day in London, and did a lot of walking! I had a wander around St James's Park, I always love it in there and the pelicans were in fine form yesterday  It rained a lot so I got me some culture and went in the National Gallery which is somewhere I've never been before. I think that next time I go on my own I'll visit the V&A. I've only been in there once when a couple of friends and myself went to the Kylie exhibition which must be around 12 years ago now and we didn't have time to look any further.

Hope you're feeling better soon Kaz!

Have a good day all!
