Good Morning Friday

Postby JoM » 14 Jun 2019, 06:17

Good morning all, it's bouncing off the pavements here.

When I let Bill out he walked a yard over the patio and turned straight back around and came in  I'm hoping it stops or at least slows down a bit as I could do with walking down to town for some shopping.

Tom and Shannon are off to Wales later, it's her birthday weekend away albeit a bit belated. They're going to somewhere beginning with M but I couldn't even begin to spell it

Have a good day all!

Just to add, it did actually stop raining for around 3 hours yesterday evening but apart from that it's been non stop since Tuesday morning.

Morning Jo, morning everyone

White fluffy things in the blue sky and going to be cooler today, but getting warmer from tomorrow 8-)

I'd love some of that rain Jo

Will do the ironing that I didn't do yesterday. Jan came up, just as I was getting to ironing board out, so that went back and we sat outside for a couple of hours, drinking tea, coffee and chatting :D

Have done the watering, takes me an hour if I do it on my own. Grumpy is snoring away, oblivious

Will head outside this afternoon, back permitting, to get rid of the tall grass that has made a come back :cute:

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan, you'd be more than welcome to it! We, at least around here, had a dry Winter - the paths in the woods are usually very muddy in places from November until June but they've been as dry as a bone - and it's as if all of last Winter's rain has been dumped on us in one go this week.

It's the same here Jo, and it's really starting to get on my wick! :(

Gladly swap you some rain Jan, for some sunshine! :cute:

Morning all :) A few bits to get in town today, then housework to get out of the way before the weekend! I'll get the bus, I'm not walking in this weather :?

Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning everyone, happy Friday :Hi:

Jo, I'm sure I read or head somewhere that the rain we had (well at least down where I am), in one day was what we'd usually have the entire month. It's been on and off since Tuesday but more dry than wet with sudden hard downpours that stop as quick as they start

Jan, glad that the temperatures are rising; Nadine and I are so looking forward to some sunshine; it's been a dire June so far :D I love watering the garden first thing in the morning; so peaceful and quiet

Kaz, hope you get everything done in town and good idea re the bus vs walking; unless you've got flippers :D

Friday lunch today is Thai - yum. Hoping to leave a bit early today but need to check with a colleague as he has a interview candidate coming in at 4.30. If he's happy to sort him with a cup of coffee himself then great but he's a bit of an odd one and may ask that I stay so I can help out... we'll see.

Have a lovely day all xx

Morning all, it is dull and grey out there with rain forecast, just for a change  Gym this morning, lunch in the cafe afterwards and maybe dancing tonight. Thank goodness we have a holiday to look forward to, or we would be climbing the walls even more with this dreary weather - I could bear it a bit more if it was warmer, currently only 11 degrees out there

Morning all :D

It's not raining yeah!!!!! The sun's trying to stay out, hope it lasts all day.

This weather is miserable, Fb keeps showing me memories of us enjoying sitting outside in the garden this time the last 2/3 years. Doesn't feel like summer at all.

Popping into town shortly, only need a few bits and pieces, but Boots are doing £10 worth of points for a £50 spend and as I need to restock some skincare the offer is too good to pass up.

Have a good day :D

It's actually stopped raining!

Jen, I had an offer for 300 points when you spend £20 on make up on the app so I bought a Benefit mascara the other day (which I love because it's brown and brown mascara is hard to find). I don't buy much make up from Boots but always get anything from Benefit from there for the points. Anyway, when I looked at the receipt there were only 88 points credited to the card (the mascara was £22) so I queried it and the assistant said she'd manually add the points on so I expected that she'd add 212 to make it up to the 300 but she didn't, she added 300 on so I ended up with £3.88 worth
