Good Morning Tuesday

Postby JoM » 18 Jun 2019, 05:42

Good morning all, it’s sunny and should be quite warm today. We had no rain yesterday

I’m off out with Bill when he’s finished his breakfast. Joe and Amanda are going to Alton Towers today so he wants to be out by 8.30. It’s not far away but he’s got to pick Amanda up and they want a full day there. Tom’s in work later. I’ve got the Tesco delivery coming at lunchtime.

Have a good day all :D

Morning both. No chance of cutting our grass today Cruiser, everything is sodden after yet more heavy rain yesterday. Hopefully it's better where Bill is going this morning Jo!
In a while we are taking MrsC's dad to B and M and Aldi. This gives sister in law a break tomorrow as she has had him on her own last Saturday and Wednesday.
That apart I'm not too sure what's on. I need to get to the bank soon so I might have to make an appointment.
No rain here and allegedly it might be dry all day! :Hi:
Have a good day all.

Morning all and happy Tuesday

Day 1 of a 5 day train strike for me; diabolical is all I'll say. In the past we had 2 slow and 2 fast services, this time round they've only got the two slow services and it's a complete and utter shambles. Although it seems that they may have added one additional service in the morning which I'll try take tomorrow (if it's there tomorrow as well - who knows!). Just puts you in such a bad mood for the day - grrrrrrr

Oh well, meeting a friend for dinner tonight which will be lovely and make up for the rubbish trains. I can do this... I can!!!! :D

Have a lovely day all xxxx

That's a horrible way to start the day Ria :x Focus on your lovely evening later! xx

Crommers, I hope your shopping trip isn't too trying! Yes, it was quite dry underfoot this morning. I probably could've done without my wellies! Yesterday was dry, warm and very windy so that really helped. Showers are forecast again for later though....

Hope you get your lawn cut, Cruiser! It drives me mad if I can't get ours done.

Good morning all, it is a nice day here, warmer too. We were up early as the plumber said he would be here - but he has not arrived  So Edward is heading off to the golf club and I am going to do the supermarket shop. Got lovely news yesterday, my niece gave birth to a little girl, her second child. My brother is beyond thrilled. I have just spent far too much time trying to talk to a human at Vodafone, they sent a text saying my bill had not been paid, due last Saturday. It is paid by direct debit and it seems to me it has just not gone through yet. I had to trawl through the bank account online, sorting Edward’s from mine as they both go from the same account. I did not get to talk to anyone, and will check again tomorrow. So frustrating and time wasting. Oh well, off to tidy around before I go out.

Osc, that's super annoying. If you go online can you see if there is a live chat option with someone - that may be quicker? And congratulations on the new addition to the family - such wonderful news x

Afternoon all :D

Very warm but a bit dull, think it's due to rain later this afternoon.

Just back from having my Hba1c blood test. The surgery is in shambles, the diabetic nurse has left and not yet been replaced. Normally I have the test and see the nurse to discuss progress etc a week later. This time I'll have to wait for a phone call with the results. E's much better today so came with me, we stopped for a little stroll along the cliff top on the way home.

We've decided with everything happening healthwise it makes sense to get in as many trips away as possible while we can. As you can see with my sticker we're off to Gran Canaria later this year to celebrate E's birthday and our anniversary. Yesterday we booked to go to my happy place Barbados for 6 weeks next April :D :D We usually stay on the south coast, but this time we'll be on the west coast. We know the area really well and everything is more accessible for us, shops, beach etc all in easy walking distance from the apartment. Means we won't need a car which is a big saving, the odd taxi will be a lot cheaper and as we rarely stray far from the beach much more sensible  Also the apartment comes with free access to the Beach House, it has a large pool, free loungers and a nice restaurant we've used before. Even more important it has direct access onto a lovely beach. Not having to hire beds and an umbrella each day is another big saving. Managed to get a great deal on flights with BA, we had so many airmiles we qualified for a BOGOF on Premium Economy seats. Beyond excited :D :D :D

Have a good day :D

Evening everyone! I was sure I'd posted this morning but apparently not - think I'm losing the plot :?

Osc, many congratulations, how lovely :D

Ria, I hope the next few days aren't TOO tedious  xx

Jen you do right, travel and enjoy yourselves 8-) :) xx

I've had an interesting day, besides the usual going to see D, my friend J who did some family tree stuff for me when my parents died has done a bit more digging into my maternal grandmother's side of the family. Aunty Rose wanted to know a bit more, and J came up trumps :) I might put a bit about it on the Family board tomorrow :)
