So, up all bright and breezy, and off in the car for a trip to Maiden Bradley Village Hall, where, under the auspices of the Wylye Valley Arts Trail, there was to be an exhibition of paintings and ceramics by local artists. This is a 10 day-long annual event showcasing crafts at numerous diverse venues across South Wiltshire. Money in pocket for a nice purchase or two, but a strict spending limit of £30 on the day …..

Turned into the car park, and there was only one other car parked up …. still, there's about 50 different locations and Maiden Bradley's a bit out of the way, so not over bothered. Wandered across to the front entrance - but it was firmly locked and shuttered!

"Did you bring the booklet," I asked Mrs O, "Maybe we've got the wrong venue?"

Right venue.

Entirely wrong date!

It was 18th to 27th May ……..

Still, we had a decent meal out at the Fox at Tytherington, and ice creams at the East Somerset Railway in Cranmore, so all was not lost - and, as Mrs O said, "we still have money in pocket!" 8-)

Hydrocortisone was the first thing I reached for when I realised I'd been bit yesterday Kaz, in the vain hope that it'd help but it never has any effect, and I'm fully dosed up on loratadine and cetrizine. Every year I'm an all you can eat buffet for biting things and I've never yet found anything that works.
