Chicken licken clucks off.

Bless him. The member (of parliament, not the other sort) for Uxbridge and South Ruislip can't remember where he left his trousers so has had to withdraw (ooer) from Sky's leader of the dinosaur party debate.

There could not be any other possible reason: could there?

Perhaps because he doesn't need to convince the great unwashed. He has to convince people like me. I've been invited to the "web hustings" to get my questions answered. Bit of a problem as I've canned my Farcebook and Twatter accounts and those are the only ways to contribute.

There is a simple decision.

Hunt, more May, the destruction of the Tory party.
BoJo, the great unknown.

It depends on who is more scared of a leap in the dark. Because voting for Hunt is the eventual demise of the Tories. Nothing is more certain.

He got well stitched up on the BBC. Maybe he's not in a rush to get stitched up again?

Or it could be that he, as well as rhyming slang man, is a waste of rations, an oxygen thief, with nothing to say to us sensible ones who see both of them for the buffoons they are?

I could not care less that some of the 160,000 ish Tory dinosaur members are stupid enough to vote for him, but I do care that they can vote for these wastes of space to be our PM.

Thankfully I do not have to spend one penny to undo their dreams of destroying this country. I, like millions of others, not a few 160,000 pillocks, get to vote in elections, and we will use them.

What we cannot do is get BoJo to explain his ideas for the future, nor how he will achieve them. They are in is his head, and he is scared to tell us what they are. I wonder why?

He has to convince people like me.

Surely, Suff, the huge boost for Scottish independence would be sufficient conviction for you. ;)

Os, the 'big picture' as I view it, is that some 80,000 + unhinged members of a political party not supported by the majority of the people or the electorate of the UK can put in place a total idiot as PM, whether the majority of us support him or her or not. And I said the same with Brown's coronation after Blair.

BoJo is all soundbites with no substance. His so-called promises are undeliverable. He cannot get a better BRINO deal than May's and he cannot deliver a no-deal Brexit. I guess that's why he is avoiding the TV debates. If he does become the next PM he is toast... no confidence vote, good riddance.

On a slightly more even note, as I mentioned several times, 12 additional Scottish Tory seats didn't just "happen" at the last election. It was a result of ~40% of Scottish voters punting for Leave. Most of these voters will be happier with Bojo and his No Surrender on the October exit date, than they will be with Hunt and his "negotiate forever" stance.

A large chunk of these voters were for Yes in Indyref.

As far as I can tell, Insufficient numbers of No voters are convinced that bailing from the UK, on the wild hope of re-entering the EU, with all the issues of UK cross border trade, are available to drive a Yes win.

Bojo or no Bojo.

A general election with a Farage surge into parliament might be a much bigger incentive as the "Farage the racist" story got real traction in Scotland.

£25, didn't seem to be such a big sacrifice. Of course you had to be interested, pay attention and anticipate the political situation. Right, that wipes out 90% of the population then.

As for a no confidence vote?

Dream on, Labour have as much, if not more, to fear from the Brexit party as the Tories do.

You can be pretty sure that Farage will do a deal with the Tories long, long, before he ever talks to Corbyn.
