Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 25 Jun 2019, 05:33

Good morning.

With temps due to reach 42 degrees I won't be doing much today.

A walk and swim which will all be done by 9.30 will do me, thank you very much!

I'll quite happily be a lazy Lulu with my book by the pool.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Ally and anybody else who is up and about.

It has started raining. Only a light shower a the moment. Shopping this morning. Will get fish from a van which only comes on Tuesday and Friday. Seems to do a good trade. Then will have to go to the post office to send two parcels and need a first class stamp for one letter.

Have a good d ay everybody.

Morning Ally and Cruiser, morning everyone

42 Ally - crumbs that is rather on the hot side; and lazy Lulu sounds a good thing to be. I know if France they've also got hot weather warnings out and they're making all sorts of emergency arrangements in Paris. Remember to put a shallow dish of water out for the birds / animals :-) They'll be desperate for it

Cruiser we had a fair amount of rain overnight. The garden is loving the combination of warm and rain - everything just seems so much brighter at the moment. Fresh fish from a van sounds great; probably super fresh and supporting smaller businesses vs larger shops... I like that! :D

Was meant to go cat socialising after work yesterday but ended up having a celebratory drink with Nadine after work; my niece Bianca who lives in SA gave birth to a little baby boy yesterday - Elijah. That makes me a great-aunt for the 2nd time - I feel old :D :D :D .

A usual usual for me but doing the cat socialising this evening now.

have a lovely day all x

Morning all :) xx

Ally, I've only been in those sorts of temps once- Lanzarote in August - and it was unreal  Taking it easy by the pool, with a book, sounds ideal :) xx

Have a good day Cruiser :)

Congratulations, great-aunt Ria :D Little Poppy is my only "great" so far, but no doubt more will bob along in time 8-) xx

It is POURING down here, after the respite of the last few days  For once I can please myself as to whether I go out in it today - D is seeing friends - so I think I might give it a miss ;)

The mobile dog groomer is due here any minute, so the mutts will be getting a much-needed haircut ;) She arrives in a converted van with Snip-Doggy-Dog painted on the side

Have a good (dry!) day everyone :) xx

We usually hit those temps in August so it's a bit early for that silliness.

Amazing to think you do get used to this heat. :D

Ria...the birds are well looked after. I'm just after watching a few swoop down for a quick skim of the pool.

Congratulations on the new baby. :D

Kaz..that made me laugh. Snip Doggy Dog.

Kaz, Snip doggy dog!
It's raining steadily here, it has been since last night. No thunderstorms though.
Enjoy the cat socializing Ria. Ally, 42c? Whoa. Way too hot for me, I don't know how people get by in that heat. Sitting by the pool seems a good option.
We had a bit of drama down the road last night. Screaming and carrying on and then somebody saying "She's jumped out of the window". It's the family across the road. They have a 14ft wall of conifers around their garden, they aren't really sociable. The police have been to the house before (some trouble with the eldest girl) and the ambulance, but that's a few years since. They have two girls, late teens early twenties sort of age. They've never seemed particularly happy girls, and the father isn't well liked. We think the parents are away on holiday atm.
So God knows what's gone on. We know the girls had some of their friends round over the weekend, but there's nothing wrong in that.
It took the ambulance a good half hour to turn up; it doesn't bear thinking about that she was lying there in pain for that length of time.
Anyway I suppose it will all come out in the wash.
MrsC has gone on parent transport duty and her auntie Violet is out of the hospital at last, so that's good news.
Have a lovely day everyone.

It's a great name for a dog groomer, isn't it?

Ally, I reckon I could get used to the heat too, given the chance :D

Oh Crommers, that business across the road sounds a bit grim - I hope nobody was seriously hurt :? Glad to hear the news about Mrs D's aunty though 8-) :) xx

The dogs do make me laugh - so happy to see the Snip Doggy lady at first, then they remember WHY she's here and you can see their faces drop, along with their tails   Fraggle first, Pepper is hiding under Mick's desk, no doubt hoping she's been forgotten about

It’s an odd sort of day here, not cold, not warm, people wearing jackets. There was sun earlier but it has clouded over now. I have a list to work through today, and hopefully I will have everything crossed off by the end of the day! One thing is crossed off already, I wanted to email Gayle about setting up a Power of Attorney, but she emailed me. I have printed off the draft document and we will read it carefully, marking any queries. Edward is just going out to play golf.

Snip Doggy Dog  I love it! Please send some vibes to Nannapat, who is having a tough time of it recently. She is in hospital and now the physio suspects that Nanna may have fractured her knee or leg :( I have a new grand niece too, I’ll pop a photo over on the Photo board.
