Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 22 Jul 2019, 05:16

Good morning.

Off to Lanark market with dad this morning.

This will be another 'first' for us both. :( Mum and dad used to go regularly and I used to go with them every summer I was over.... dad suggested the trip today. He's being brave so I will be too.
We're also going to visit the Falls of Clyde which mum and I both loved.

We'll stop somewhere down Clydeside for lunch. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all we've had loads of rain overnight very grey still
Update on iona hospital has since said the electrods in her spine haven't moved but the pacemaker thingy has stopped working so she has to wait for a technician from the company to see her and hopefully reprogram it in situ because they don't want to remove it
Wish they could reprogram me post sepsis
Hope everyone has a good day

Morning all

Ally, hugs to you and your dad, it'll be a lovely for you both to be out and about and hopefully you'll think of the happy times that you had there with you mom xxx
Saundra, fingers crossed for Iona - that would be good if they can get it all sorted asap without having to remove anything x
Jan, take it easy today in the heat
Cruiser you too have a lovely day

Well dull today but meant to be warm. Our office though is freezing - I'm sitting here with a 3/4 length top and a cardigan
Going to be an expensive day I fear - car is in for MOT and service; ouch!

Big boss from the US is here today - he's such a lovely lovely guy so it's always nice when he's here. He really is just one of lifes super genuine people who hasn't let success get to his head. But besides big boss here it's going to be a usual / usual which is much needed; I had such a busy weekend with far too much to eat and drink and no where near enough sleep - I really should have learned by now, but it was such fun. So looking forward to a decent bed time tonight :D

Have a lovely day all and enjoy whatever it is you're up to x

Good morning all, it's starting to brighten up here but it's very humid.

I waited for the bathroom fitter to come before walking Billy and we've just got back. I thought I'd walk him a bit further this morning because it'll be far too hot for him later. I planned on mowing the lawns and tidying the garden and I'd stripped the beds and changed the towels before he got here, so there's a couple of loads of washing to dry, and typically he's using the back garden to cut the aquaboard so I'm stuck in with nothing to do for the time being

Joe's at a loose end today because Amanda's working full time this week (something he'll have to get used to in September when she goes to Falmouth university :( ). Tom's back from Shannon's at some point today, I think he's working later.

Saundra, that sounds a bit more promising for Iona. I hope she's soon reprogrammed, how amazing that it can be done that way!

Ally, I hope today goes well xx

Have a good day all xx

Hope the car doesn't cost you too much Ria.
Your American big boss sounds like John's. Dave's one of the directors based in Indiana and he visits regularly and he's just the loveliest friendliest guy. It's a big company with offices worldwide yet he seems to know everyone and remembers names and all kinds of details. I usually see him at Christmas and there's always a big hug and he always asks how the boys are, then gets his phone and shows me new pics of his grandkids.

Morning all :)

Currently sitting in the M&S cafe waiting for Em and Jaqui, so if my post tails off quickly, that's why ;)

Ally (((hugs))) for those firsts xxx

Jo, my bathroom is chaos at the moment, can't wait for him to finish it! xx

Ria, not too expensive I hope! Fingers crossed xx

Morning Saundra! :) It's a perfect drying day here too, I got a line of jeans and Mick's cut-offs out before I came into town 8-)

Morning Cruiser :) I think you must have your settings on winter time as Ally's post definitely says 6.16 not 5.16 ;) I can reset it for you if you want :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Well, ouch is all I'll say - it's a lot more than I was hoping to pay but needs must. Car has passed the MOT (which I was expecting anyway given it's only 4 years old) but apparently needs new front brake pads and discs and all in all it's going to be quite expensive. Admittedly when I found the garage I was worried that they were one of the dearer ones but the location is so perfect for me to get to work so I decided to give them a try. I'll wait to see what the final break down is of everything but suspect that I may be looking for another garage for next year. Sigh But I just can't be without a car and one think I won't do is scrimp and save on necessary repairs; that's asking for trouble

So yes Saundra - just as well I like baked beans because that's what it'll be this month
