Ouch Ria...I hope it's not too bad. Joe's needing new brake pads but thankfully John can fit them so he hasn't got the expense of using a garage.

Kaz, we've come to a standstill here as the suppliers didn't send enough of the boarding but have promised that it'll be delivered today so he's done all that he can do for now so he's gone home, his wife runs the shop so is calling him when it comes. Two panels are up and he's fitted the shower, all that's left to do is put the other two panels up when they arrive and fit the screen.
I still can't do any outside jobs though as he's left his tools and workmates on the lawn so he can get back to it as soon as the delivery comes.

Morning all :D

Lovely bright and sunny here 8-)

We had to abandon the garden, come indoors and shut all the windows around 5ish yesterday. There were loads of flying ants, it was quite funny watching the birds going mad trying to catch them  It's mainly sparrows at the moment, there must be at least 50 in and out of the bushes at the back.

Popping into town later, had a text to say our prescriptions are ready for collection. Also need more fruit. Will see how we feel, might have a stroll along the clifftop afterwards.

Have a good day :D

Oh dear Ria, not good news.

You'll just have to move here and let Gabi look after a car for you. Cook him something nice to eat and he does the work for nowt   When he took the car down to the Algarve to fix it there, the cost was so reasonable, I don't know how he can make any money.

Forget the cleaning, I did the bathroom and kitchen sink, then went for a swim and a float in the pool. Much to hot to do any vacuuming or mapping.

So let me recap - good wine for €1.99 a bottle (when reduced) and car repairs for next to nothing in exchange for a meal cooked? So remind me why am I still here in the UK

No idea 8-)

I cooked enough favas for eight, took them down to Jan's as he was doing the work there. We drank a lot of wine, went to the bar and bought them a few drinks.

The bill for the work was under 100 euros  :Hi:
