A lovely, sunny morning, but by heck, that's a blasted cold wind And we're in for a few rather windy days too

Not sure what we'll be doing, that wind is so cold, coming from the north, that being outside in the garden is unpleasant. So I might just read a book

Morning all Washing on, going into town a bit earlier than usual as I need to buy a few things for B's birthday this weekend - tomorrow will be shopping and food prep for Thursday, Thursday is AJ's funeral, and I don't want to leave it until the last minute. At 10.30 I'm meeting my friend J from the old WW class for a cuppa, then going up to see D.

Jan, can't believe you've still got that cold wind - you've had a really odd summer! I would say the same for here but then schools broke up which does by default mean rubbish weather - seems to happen every year . Grey and windy here and rain and storms expected all day. And not getting much above 20 degrees if that - summer???? what summer?????

Kaz, good luck with the food prep - makes sense to do as much before as you can. And enjoy the cuppa and then seeing D.

Well a usual work day for me but meeting friends for a quick drink after work.

Morning all we've got jans weather here just as my bedding was ready to go on the line it's starting to rain it was lovely at 8this morning
So another day of not watering the garden so that's a bonus I expect

Good afternoon all, it's pouring down here.

It was quite nice first thing so Bill had a long walk, I then got ready and went to Stafford. I'd seen a nice shirt in M&S a couple of weeks ago and decided to get it, only to find that they had no stock of them today but I ordered it online while I was in the changing room trying a different coloured one on for size, and I saw another top I liked so added that onto the order too and I can pick those up from the food store in Cannock tomorrow night. I had a £15 River Island gift card for my birthday but couldn't see anything in there that I liked at all. They had a few plain t shirts although the quality was on a par with the cheap ones you get in Primark but at 7x the price! I texted Joe to see if he could make use of it and he'll happily take it off my hands
