Good Morning Thursday

Postby JanB » 01 Aug 2019, 06:20

Morning everyone

A lovely, sunny morning - and no wind, so that's a bonus  Will be rather warm later 8-)

General pootling this morning. We've taken a few more cuttings, so they need looking after. The tomatoes we have in pots are doing better than the tomatoes in the garden  probably because I talk to them

Into Ourique this afternoon. Grumpy needs to order rooftiles and needs more cement, so that will arrive either later this afternoon or tomorrow, depending on how busy they are. Also pop into the library and the chemist, to hopefully collect the tintura de benjoim I ordered yesterday.

Pit stop at the bar on the way home - expecting a parcel ;) :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it is a lovely morning here. I am up a bit early as I want to go shopping, and also bring a bag of clothes to the TK Maxx charity box. Edward is going out early also, to play golf. Back to (maybe) more ironing and also looking up flight options for Southampton in September.

Good morning everybody.
The sun is out again. We have missed most of the rain which has flooded parts of South Manchester. We liked the photos of two men in a small boat paddling down one of the flooded roads with the water half way up the pole supporting a road sign.
Have been shopping in the car to Tesco. Very quiet.
Now just pootling.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning all

Jan, hope you get everything sorted. Re the tomatoes, mine are really struggling with getting fruit - I think the weather is really causing havoc regardless if they're in the greenhouse or out on the allotment. All very odd.

Cruiser and Osc hope you have a good day with the errands
Saundra, hope you have a good one as well - enjoy the drier weather

Odd weather here again; grey with the sun trying to break through and whilst not cold, definitely not warm either. The wind has a bit of a bite to it. I'm off to the Excel centre after work today. A friend has entered the Prudential Bike Ride and not thinking she'd be accepted went and booked a summer holiday for her and the family. Result is she was accepted and now is facing a 100 mile bike ride on Sunday; but only landing 8pm on Saturday - she's totally bonkers!!! :D So I'm going to collect her entry form for her today. Saturday they land, drop off the kids with her brother-in-law, down to mine to collect her form and bicycle and then to their hotel so she can have a few hours sleep before the ride.... mad is all I'll say!!!

Have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning all, it's dull and dry here.

Billy had an early walk and we were back before John left for work. He was a bit later leaving today as he's got a meeting on site somewhere in the Shrewsbury area. Joe's got the day off today and Tom's working later. I'm a bit puzzled as to why there's a box of various large catering sachets of McDonalds sauces in my utility room. I'm assuming that he's got to drop them off at another restaurant. I'll ask him once he's awake.

Thoughts are with Kaz and the family today xx

Blimey Ria! I hope she's not gone long haul and will be jet lagged!

Have a good day all!

Morning all :D

Bit overcast at the moment, hoping it brightens as the day goes on.

We took raincoats with us yesterday, just as well as it absolutely tipped down for about 10mins while we were waiting at the bus stop, if it had started before we left home we'd have stayed indoors. Glad we didn't though, the rain cleared before we reached town and by the time we got down to the harbour the sun was out, it was glorious.

We have new neighbours, Pat (who was lovely and let us use her drive while all the renovations were going on) moved out a couple of weeks ago. Completion was yesterday and sure enough just before we went out a big removal lorry arrived. It was still unloading until gone 6pm, goodness knows how much stuff they've brought with them, but I'm betting it's going to take some sorting to fit it all in :o We don't know much about them, apparently they've moved from a 3 storey town house in Margate, expect we'll hear more as time goes on. They're not actually attached to us so I doubt we'll see much of them, but we'll have to knock today as Pat went off without remembering we have a key. If they're half as nice as she is we'll be happy.

Weekly shopping today, M&S then Tesco.

Have a good day :D

Thanks Saundra, and Jo ((((x))))

It's been a long day, glad it's over. Nice to see Mick's brothers though, and Dan and Nikki bought little Poppy up, although Nikki stayed behind at D's with her rather than come to the crem.

Back to normal tomorrow now!
