I love cardi's too Jo Bought one many years ago, calf length, cost a bomb, but washes well and is still going strong.

Got a fleece on, but I am tempted to give the heating an hour or so. It has rained all day without let up.

Just checking the weather for here and also the Algarve.

Not only for now, but also when son and daughter in law are coming over. It was looking like rain and thunderstorms But hopefully, not when they're here. September can be a bit dodgy

At the moment, we are hotter by 11C than the Algarve But so much cooler at night

I'm sat here in shorts, sleeveless t-shirt, flip-flop free feet firmly on the cool floor

Think I've mastered the art of opening windows, shutters and closing them when it's hot. It's a comfy 26C inside, although it will go down to about 22C tonight. I've also been putting a towel up on the front door, to stop the heat coming in through the glass.

Good news

The petrol strike has been suspended

The police and army got involved in driving the tankers and although it will, no doubt happen again, we're back to normal. Well, it will be a few days, but good news
