Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 21 Aug 2019, 05:43

Good morning.

This heat just goes on..... 8-) 8-)

I'm off for my morning run and back for a swim....I really must get back into the habit of popping into VV as part of my day.

Back to oversee the builders...did I mention we're having a new kitchen? It's been exciting designing and planning (basically being bossy  ) it. :D

Leaving the car hunting to Don....I get brain ache after an hour.

Meeting David tonight for a beer and to discuss our Portugal trip. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Absolutely gorgeous sunrise this morning 8-) Quite warm already.

Portugal, Ally? Onde? Where? Estrella mountains? Algarve hills?

Watering done and it's been such a peaceful night. Yes, we can hear dogs - but in the distance :D Obviously the police have been for the second and final warning. Next time it's a hefty fine  :Hi: :Hi: And if it carries on, then the fine gets larger 8-) They start at 500€ ;)

Will do the ironing I didn't get around to yesterday and Grumpy is already painting the new store room.

Will pop down to the bar later, for a quick coffee and collect the ordered rolls.

Will have my cooking head on today, as doing a favas, then cauliflower soup, then veg soup for the freezer :D ready for our visitors :Hi:

Pool later and a couple of beers 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Ally, a new kitchen sounds very exciting! What sort of style are you going for? 8-) :)

Hopefully the barking nuisance is sorted now Jan 8-) :) I had my cooking head on yesterday! Jeff gave us a load of veg and rhubarb from his allotment, so I cooked up the rhubarb to freeze it :D

Meeting my friend in town for a cuppa, then B is joining me in town to go shopping - she has the day off, and a PT session first. We'll probably drop in on D on the way home.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all, it is a nice day here. We were up early as the builder was due to arrive around 9am - then he messaged to say he had a problem with his truck and it could be 11.30 :x I will be going to the gym but first need to post off the application for my o/70 GP visit card and take out some money while I am at the post office. I also need to make an appointment to get my o/70 driving licence. Supermarket shop this afternoon, so a list needs to be made.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

A new kitchen sounds exciting Ally.

So pleased you had a good night Jan, fingers tightly crossed things settle now, hopefully the thought of hefty fines does the trick.

Well the car was picked up for a service and MOT at 8.30am. I've just had a call to say it failed the MOT, apparently it needs a new coil on one side, amazing how one small item can cost so much!!! I haven't used this garage before so hoping they don't delay things and I get the car back later this afternoon.

Have a good day :D

Good afternoon all!

It's humid here. Bill's had two walks, I've been into town to do some shopping and the Tesco delivery has been and is all put away. Bill will be wanting another walk tonight and I've already walked 8.7 miles so I'm sitting down with a well-deserved cuppa.

Saundra, have a lovely time!

Oh Jen, what a shame! Tom had a coil break on his old car and it wasn't cheap :?

Ally, I hope all's going well with the kitchen! I quite fancy a new one in the next couple of years. The room itself is large but the actual units only take up half of it, plus the designated space for the fridge freezer is only 60cm and I would like/need a wider American style one.

Have a good day all!

So much for my sit down with a cuppa

I've just had a text from Joe, in his room, saying "Come here", quickly followed by another saying "Spider"

6ft Joe was on the bed in case the tiny little spider got him
