I have a very full chest freezer, plenty of meat, fish, veg, frozen fruit, prepared fresh sauces, as well as a fridge freezer with breaded fish, oven chips, burgers, B's SW meals, ice cream etc. I have cereals, rice, pasta, herbs, tinned tomatoes, beans, jam, marmite, tinned fruit, flour, sugar, tea etc in my pull-out larder and kitchen cupboards.

This is usual though, not because of potential shortages.

I won't be stockpiling anything.
Like Saundra says, it's a self fulfilling prophecy.
If everyone panics and clears the shelves - yes, there will be shortages.
In other news, don't go out after dark after we leave the EU or the bogeyman is sure to get you.

Same as Kaz, it's something we've done for years. Regarding the beans, it's not that we eat more than the average, just E can't resist a bargain, he would hate to pay 'full' price. He's just as bad with instant coffee, we have 6 big jars in the cupboard most of the time and because we always drink the fresh stuff for brekkie we only have one cup of instant a day

And Bert, bung in a few choc digestives as well Twixes, Mars bars and Haribo bags for the kids. Cheers doll.

Chips! I almost forgot chips. Them too, and maybe a few bags of chicken nuggets.

I agree, it goes without saying that there'll be shortages if people are stockpiling non-perishables etc.

I don't want to offend anyone but I think it's a bit unfair that people are doing that and I do worry that it's going to have a knock-on effect with food banks if there aren't enough items on the shelf for personal purchases let alone for people to stick a few jars or tins in the collection container. This panic buying will hit the poor who either rely on food banks or have to stick to a tight budget and can't afford to stock up on extras just in case.
