Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 27 Aug 2019, 05:48

Good morning.

4 degrees hotter than yesterday...enough now!

A quick run, a swim then once the painter arrives at 9 I'll be in the spare guest bedroom turning it into my dressing room. Once I've done that I'll nip to Conforama for a look see at what will go with red sofas.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely and cool this morning but will warm up soon.

Grumpy out painting - he's doing the trim around the door of the new store room. Bright orange, to match the house and other buildings 8-)

Washing machine on and I'll try and find something to do today.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, another hot one here but this is supposed to be the last day of the heatwave for us.

I’m on the bus to Stafford, I need to get a birthday present for Grace, the daughter of our friends. She’s 12 on Friday.

We both loved Once Upon A Time In Hollywood yesterday. It was a long long film and something has to be good to keep my attention for any longer than 30 minutes but this managed it! I’ve never really been much of a fan of Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio but they absolutely blew me away.

Have a good day all :D

DiCaprio is one of my favourite actors Jo. :D

I think he's so versatile.

Morning all :D

Hot, hot, hot here 8-)

We had a lovely day yesterday, Today we'll be getting a bus to the beach and harbour, I do miss walking down, but hey ho the bus only takes 4mins so can't really complain. The boys can have good fun on the beach, wish I had their energy, E and I will be sitting and watching  So lucky the weather's turned out so well, it's forecast to stay like this all week so should still be good when eldest daughter M with grandson David arrive tomorrow, the boys are all looking forward to getting together.

Have a good day and stay cool :D

Morning all, it is a pleasant day here although clouding over now after beautiful sunshine earlier. The builder was due 8.30-9.00 but phoned to say he would be later as he has to collect a piece of equipment from another site. We have water today as the new tanks are full, but it is switched off at the mains because of the broken ballcock, so I can’t put on the dishwasher yet.....had to wash the breakfast dishes by hand shock horror  :o I am hoping for a phone call from the optician to say my new glasses are ready, if they are I will collect them later on and do the supermarket shop in the supermarket in the same shopping centre. Otherwise, I will go to the nearer supermarket. In the meantime, ironing is calling  I got the charity lunch tickets yesterday, looking forward to it, especially as the tickets are €55 each and I got them for free :D

Ally, to get rid of the smell of paint, chop an onion up and put in water. Use it in all the rooms being painted. Leave over night and it will absorb the smell.

Used to do it in hotels, when we had rooms refurbed.
