Good morning.

Still flippin very hot.

Sorry for the couple of days absence but I've been working soooo hard on the house.....and delighted to announce we're almost there!

It's been cleaned to within an inch of its walls and apart from the painter coming today and tomorrow to finish the hall, stairs and landing all the mess has gone.

I came down to the lounge this morning (which was painted yesterday) and just stood and looked at how lovely it all looks. I'll be putting my paintings and pictures back later.

Coffee first though and then a swim.

Picking up the wrought iron bench we ordered a couple of weeks ago for the garden and that's about me for the day....phew.

Off to Ourique soon, to get the shopping out of the way then back to do nowt. Too hot to do anything apart from sleep or be in/on the pool

Will have a pitstop at the bar on the way back, to have a coffee, pick up the bread rolls, any post and have a gossip

Morning ally and everyone it's nice here it must be lovely to ha e all the house done at once glad it's finnished please to say Iona had the gadget reprogrammed on Friday but it's going to take a long time to try to get her leg to move at the knee at the moment she can't even sit in a chair because her whole leg is suspended in air she has a recliner when she has been to me she rests it on a pouffe it's a worry my sil is in hospital in cardiff as well twisted all the muscle in her leg poor viv bright note tho Scarlett is going on the ferry today to Amsterdam back Friday it's her 4birthday tomorrow by for now morning jan

Morning all, it is a pleasant autumn morning again although showers are forecast. No builders today, so we didn’t have to get up at 7am, thank goodness. They will be back tomorrow and hopefully that will finish it. The bathroom is shaping up nicely, the new window and ceiling look good and it just needs painting. Last night my two friends home from NZ and Boston popped in for a little while, and L from Boston has just called in as she was passing and saw Edward at the door. I am off to the gym in a while, then we are going shopping, I have a list of stuff to get in Boots too, and as they are giving me double points for the whole of my birthday month, I might as well take advantage of it. Just need to tidy around and go up to the post office to take out some money.

We did intend to go for a hydro session at lunch time, but had an e-mail.......after I got up .......the pool is closed today, best laid plans and all that! We'll probably pop over to the small Tesco at Manston instead, bit short on fruit and veg.

Ally and Jan, please send some of your heat over this way... I'm not ready for these cooler temperatures quite yet! It was pouring down this morning and we're only getting to about 19 degrees if we're lucky. Makes sense to take it easy if you're weather is that hot so enjoy just chilling as much as you can.

Usual work day for me but meeting a friend for dinner after work - looking forward to that.

Good morning all, I've not posted for a few days either Ally...everytime I've tried, something or someone has got in the way and I've had to put my iPad down and sort out whatever. Even just, I sat down, replied to Ria's thread and then Tom walked in and asked if I could cut his hair so off I went to get my scissors and clippers

It's quite sunny here after a very rainy start. I'm sort of hanging around now for the post, there's a parcel coming and I'm not sure if it'll be here today, tomorrow or Friday. The Tesco delivery is then coming this afternoon.

Not up to much here, met a friend for a cuppa, popped in to see D on the way home, and now about to tackle the ironing!
