Good Morning Tuesday

Postby JanB » 17 Sep 2019, 06:11

Morning everyone

Foggy again, although not as thick as yesterday and is already lifting. Will be another warm day later 8-)

Will do the watering after a coffee, then breakfast, then we're off to the bar  Only to meet Mitchell for a coffee, before we head off to Beja. He has to renew his residencia and rumpy has to renew his driving licence. As the offices are next door to each other, makes sense for us to go together.

We'll do a little bit of shopping on the way back, then Mitch is insisting on buying us lunch (even though we really don't eat lunch) but we'll stop at a restaurant on the way back, near Castro Verde.

Vibes for Jose today, as he also is on his way to Beja, but to the hospital for a knee replacement. His daughter has come up from the Algarve to help look after him and the bar.

Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all. I hope Jose's knee op works Jan. Cruiser, that was a nice thought by the crew.
I a while we're off to see FiL. He genuinely doesn't look or sound very well. Hopefully we'll be able to get a doctor out to see him. Then we will go to Aldi to do his shopping if he needs any. He's been getting a bit confused lately. Taking his electric razor to bits; MrsC shows up, puts it back together again so he can have a shave. The next day it is in bits again.
Anyway, sorry for the absence. Things have been a bit busy. I'll have a look round the boards in a bit for a catch up.
Nice sunny morning here, but autumn is definitely under way. Have a good day all

Morning all :)

Jan, I hope all goes well for Jose xx

Cruiser, that was a lovely gesture :)

Crommers, good to have you back :) Sorry to hear your FiL isn't too good though :( xx

We had a nice meal out last night, for D's birthday - I had lemon chicken, yum! Seeing her again at lunchtime, but first I'm going to walk into town as it's dry, and the forecast is good 8-) I need to put a wash on first though.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning all, its sunny and mild here.

It's been a stressy morning, there's this huge Green Day tour next year, not huge in that they're playing a load of dates (only three in the UK) but huge in that they're touring with Weezer and Fall Out Boy so there's a lot of excitement surrounding it with fans of three big bands wanting tickets. Me and Shannon said we'd go as she's a big FOB fan and Tom wanted to go too so it was left to me to fight it out to buy tickets. I've been in two presales this morning, the first one timed me out when I'd got tickets in the basket and was then showing as sold out and the second was showing as being sold out for standing tickets even before it'd been live for a minute...but I've refreshed and had three devices running and eventually, after trying for a few minutes short of 2 hours, I've got our tickets.
It's in Huddersfield of all places!

Crommers, it's lovely to see you back. Get well soon to your father in law.

Have a good day all!

Morning all :D

Another bright and sunny day here 8-)

Good to have you back Crommers.
Jan hope Jose's op goes well.
What a nice surprise for you Cruiser.

We had another good session in the pool yesterday and my review went well. Progress is slow, but there is definite improvement, okay only slight, but significantly noticeable to me. The referral continues until our holibobs at the end of Nov so I'll have another review before we go away and sign up for a further 6mths. Oh and they're changing their pricing, it will be just £20 per month for pool use only, even better Ed will continue as my carer so a win win all round.

Today we're off to the cinema, haven't been for a few weeks, there's not been much on, but we can't miss Downton Abbey. Afterwards we'll probably walk round to the Toby for a meal, makes a nice day out and saves cooking when we get home.

Have a good day :D

Greetings all; happy Tuesday
Tons of vibes for Jose Jan, hope all goes well and he's back home soon. Good that his daughter is able to come up and help out. Good luck also with all the things in Beja, hope you got it all done?
Cruiser, that is such a lovely thing for them to have done - makes the cruise extra special.
Good to see you back Crommers but sorry to hear that FiL isn't doing overly well - that really must be so difficult for your MrsC and you. Remind me; how old is he now? Does he have other care that comes in to help or does he rely solely on you two?
Kaz, glad you had a lovely evening out x
Jo, that sounds rather annoying! But so pleased you got the tickets - something to look forward to for next year.
Jen, enjoy the cinema; and good news re the improvement. Every little bit is good

It's a lovely sunny day here; I'm already looking forward to the end of the day and getting home.

Have a lovely day everyone - enjoy what's left of it.

x

Afternoon everyone, it is a gorgeous sunny day here, but there is a chilly breeze in the shade. I didn’t go to the doc in the end, thought about it later yesterday and figured that if I did need blood tests or even a colonoscopy, I am not going to be around for almost two weeks, so someone else could have my appointment whose need could be more immediate, so I phoned yesterday afternoon and cancelled it. I am feeling a bit better, I have started taking some omeprazole that the doctor gave me last year and I never felt I needed it, so still had it. It seems to be settling things a little and should get me through our two trips.

I was out this morning for a cuppa and chat with my Boston friend, she goes back on the 23rd, so it was nice to have the time for one more chat. She gave me some really pretty earrings for my birthday. I’ve done most of the packing for both trips and there is a little bit of ironing to be done, nothing we need, but I might do it later. I’ll do my nails later, getting my hair done in the morning and then we will be on the road to Cork for the first leg of my birthday celebrations.
