Good Morning Monday

Postby JanB » 23 Sep 2019, 07:01

Monday already

Morning everyone

Bit chilly outside  but the sun is out and the mist is giving way to sunshine, although can't see the Algarve hills yet.

Washing machine on, cleaning will be done and more washing. Need to empty the wardrobe in the new bedroom, for our visitors. Although last time they came, they used their suitcase and floor as a wardrobe

Popping down the bar later, check for post ;) see when Jose is coming home, hopefully tomorrow, we were told last week.

Leftover curry and roast pork for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan - morning everyone

Jan, when does the family arrive? Bet you can't wait! And fingers crossed Jose is able to come home tomorrow x Must be quite odd at the bar at the moment; no Jose and no Dimas :(

A usual / usual for me today. Had a lovely weekend; a good combination of doing some stuff but also relaxing in the sun on Saturday. Karl and Nadine popped by yesterday afternoon so Karl could fix the plumbing under the kitchen basin; it was leaking and I just couldn't get it fixed myself so Karl redid most of it - best brother ever!

Hope everyone has a lovely day xx

Good morning all, it's quite bright here and mild although rain is forecast for later this afternoon - hopefully after two loads of washing have dried!

John's got a week's holidays this week, we were going to paint the kitchen but I can't decide on a colour so that's on hold

Have a good day all :D

Good morning everybody.
Went to the Mail sorting office early to pick up a parcel. We were out when the post man called on Saturday. Not our usual one as he would have left it with a neighbour.
Meriad, I dismantled the pipework from our sink as the waste water was only draining slowly. There did not seem to be a blockage but I cleaned all the pipes and the trap.
Now flowing much quicker. Also sealed otside where the pipe comes through the wall.
It has rained heavily in the night and it is still cloudy.
Have a good day everybody

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Could he have a urinary infection Crommers? It often brings on symptoms of dementia, worth getting it checked out.

Feeling sorry for all the people stranded abroad with Thomas Cook. According to reports yesterday some hotels, think it was mainly in Tunisia, were demanding payment from package holiday guests. Of course all these people had already paid up front for their holiday, what a nightmare!! Have to admit it's many years since we've traveled with TC, mainly because the last time, a trip to Majorca, didn't go very well. The flight home was awful, the cabin crew turned the aircon up so high everybody was absolutely freezing, they then went round selling blankets. Those who didn't get one just had to freeze, apparently it was common practice, put us off using them again. A lot of people out of work this morning, very sad.

Blue Wave for us later.

Have a good day :D

Got bit carried away and did a spring clean   All the furniture was pulled out, cleaned underneath, now finished and on my second bottle of water

Grumpy will clean the windows, he thinks he does it better, so why argue  He's doing the walls of the pool at the moment, as we haven't had the cover off for a few days. Will jump - well, walk in rather slowly - later.

You're right Ria, the bar feels odd. I still look out at the track in the morning, expecting to see Dimas and his truck or over at Antonia's, expecting to see his van there. Antonia's husband is here at the moment, as she is in Austria working and she said that it was awful telling him about Dimas, they were the best of friends.

Family arrive Saturday morning :Hi:

We're having a couple of days in Fuzeta, staying at Jenny and Kelly's apartment, then will go to Faro from there. They have an early flight, so should be back here about lunchtime :D

Hope you can sort out fil Crommers, a bit of a worry. Jen is probably right, the district nurse should help.

Enjoy the wave Jen :D

Blimey Jen, that's awful about the blankets on the flight! :o
I've never flown with them, it's always been Virgin as any flights tend to be to the US (unless it's Ireland and then it's Ryanair) but we booked with Jet2 when we went to Prague and they were excellent.
