A swim then off to pick dad up and bring him over for the day. Cottage pie will be made and Conor is coming over too. :D :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Up early thanks to Roxy making a racket and me being worried the neighbours (well one in particular) will get annoyed - so I quickly got up to see what was going on. Turns out Eli (the cat) was hanging out by their run and she was basically telling him to go away in her best chicken language :D :D :D

Going to be a busy day today with all sorts of bits and bobs to be done. 2nd load of washing is in the machine - thank goodness for the tumble drier in this weather; can't remember how I coped without it.

Have a lovely day all and if it's anything like here - stay dry. So much rain again - sigh. But at least it's warm(ish) 18 degrees expected.

xx

Morning Ally, Ria and everyone

Lovely, sunny morning 8-) Will be quite warm again later.

Going into Ourique soon, to show them around and will get some cooked chicken for dinner. We were going to do a bbq, but this is easier - for me, anyway 8-)

Enjoy your day everyone xx

Morning all - it is not raining now but there was lots overnight, and guess what, our newly done bathroom ceiling leaked    The only (slightly) good thing is that it didn’t happen while we were away. Thankfully the sound of dripping into a bucket did not keep us awake once we kept the bathroom door closed. The builder is due later in the day. *deeeeeeeeeep sigh*. Nothing planned for the day, just working my way through laundry.

Morning all. Like Ria we have rain - and lots of it! I think Saundra's blokes on bikes are going to get very wet today!
A quiet day ahead. Sister in law is cooking her dad's dinner today. We've looked into some home care companies and enduring power of attorney, there will be action on that front this week. We've found the EPA forms on the gov.uk site but our printer then threw a wobbly.
Chicken today for dinner.
Have a good day all.

Deep breaths Osc, deep breaths!

Afternoon all :D

It's been raining, but the sun's out now, think we're in for more showers though.

Have a nice day with your dad Ally.
I'd be lost without my tumble dryer Ria.
Enjoy your visitors Jan.
Oh blimey Osc, hope the builder gets it properly sorted this time.
Good idea to set up POA Crommers, hope you find a good home care company.

Not a lot happening here. The bed's stripped, sheets are in the washing machine and that's about it. We'll be having roast chicken with veggies for dinner later, vanilla blancmange and lemon and lime jelly for pud.

Have a good day :D

Mrs O and I dodged the showers late morning and scurried down to the horse chestnut tree nearby the local park where we managed to collect a food-bag full of conkers. :D

Rain rain and more rain today! It's eased off now but very dark and dismal. We're off work this week, meant to be at the caravan from today, but a certain furry feline has put paid to that  He's still bothered (after a good spell) with this rash/scabs, so I booked him to see the vet Friday. He reacted badly as ever to the car journey, resulting in a bladder block yesterday. Managed to get him seen again, after a wait, then he was admitted overnight :o Could collect him this morning, with meds, and told to keep a check on his urinating......he's full of beans and eating well, and it appears he's weeing better again. So although I really don't think it's wise to have Jen take him to hers to be looked after while we're away (another car journey!!) I think we plan to go and have a pre-booked spa day and 2 course meal at a nice hotel near Alnwick that we had arranged for the summer (when we had to come back on Charlie's account!) tomorrow and see what the rest of the week brings!

The weather isn't all that, has to be cooler as well as damp, but it's the only place Tom can really relax and it seems such a shame that we can't go :( Even if Jen DID take him and he WAS ok, he has a fair bit of meds to be given twice a day......what would you do?

Jen I love your Sunday desserts! Makes me want to try making one :D

Osc that's awful!! I have a little leak in the conservatory but only sometimes, I think it depends what direction the rain is in  I hate water :?

Ally your day sounds lovely - I hope your dad is enjoying his stay x

Ria your hen stories are such fun!! I love my tumble drier too, although I only put it on in emergencies, it's very heavy on leccy!

Stay dry all - have a good Sunday evening xx
