We're home

:Hi: :Hi:

Gawd, have we talked

Had a lovely, lovely time in Fuzeta, the apartment is lovely - a tad noisy, as the fishermen are up nice and early. We're used to cows and birds, not noisy fishermen

Rang Jenny when we got there, had a coffee and went up to their villa, to collect the keys.

Sit, she said, I'm cooking lunch. Kelly, get the wine or beer. You do as your told when Jenny tells you to sit, so we sat, for a couple of hours, chatting in the kitchen, then Ana, her daughter turned up, with her bloke. They weren't expecting to see us - well, we thought we'd be in the apartment by then. So we had a late lunch of turkey, roast taters, loads of veg and a rather good red wine.

Ana and her bloke were going back to England, so off Jenny and Kelly went, to take them to the airport, we went to the apartment and just sat on the front terrace and people watched - with more wine.

We'd agreed to meet them for breakfast in the square in her cousins pastelaria, the most lovely coffee and toasties.

A friend rang, so we went to Moncarapacho, to see her new house, what a lovely place it is. Just on the edge of the village with a courtyard filled with palm trees, various succulents, lovely. And an indoor swimming pool

Spent the afternoon dozing and reading, due to lack of sleep the night before.

Went to the Capri for dinner and we were like family, all the staff came out, the owner and his son. A lovely meal, I had goat cutlets, Grumpy had tuna with onions and the most enormous (and I mean at least a treble, Portuguese style) brandy to go with the coffee. When we went to pay the bill, Joao, the owner insisted on another one

We slept much better

Off to have breakfast at the cousins place and Jenny turned up

We left to get to the airport, but we'd left them a couple of bottles of rather - well, very good, red wine, a C word card and a pressie. and had a lovely text to say thank you. But really, they made the effort.

Almost at the airport and we saw an easyjet plane coming in to land - far too early. Yes, it was them. But it took them ages to get through customs, as about 5 planes landed within 5 minutes

They've crashed out, as they were up at 3.00am and very annoyingly, have left all their internet thingies on and I can only access here. No fb, no weather, nada. So I'll have to ask them tomorrow to turn stuff off.

We're off to Ourique tomorrow, to show them around and we'll get some cooked chicken for dinner.

Oh, and they loved the favas :Hi: :Hi:
