Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning, but with a stiff breeze, so feeling cool at the moment. It's okay at the front of the house, rather chilly at the back ;)

Using up the last of the hot water in the cylinder today and then we can switch it off until the next visitors. Off to Ourique for the normal shopping and pit-stop at the bar for coffee and collect the rolls.

Also need to pay the motorway tolls before it's too late and we get fined

Not sure what we'll do when we get back. I'm still a bit dodgy walking down hill and bending, so can't do a lot

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning both. Take it steady Jan.
MrsC and her sis to their dads this morning. We just need a witness/contract provider on the power of attorney and then that's sorted.
A care firm has arranged an interview too, so we'll see where that goes.
After that I'm wanting to get out of the house for a bit and avoid going stir crazy. :)
Have a good day all.

Good morning all, it's sunny here so there's a line of towels and bedding out drying.

I've been waiting for a parcel which has just arrived, I'm always impressed by DPD and their tracking. I'm impressed by Fitbit's customer service too, mine froze when counting steps on occasions so when it happened again last Friday I thought I'd contact them as it's almost a year since I bought this one so I got on live chat. They tried a couple of things with me which didn't fully solve the problem so sent me a link to order a replacement, so that's what has been delivered.
Now I'm waiting for the food delivery, that's coming between 11 and 12.

I hope the interview goes well Crommers and that the care firm are suitable.

Have a good day all!

Morning all (just), happy Wednesday

So pleased xxx big ((hug))

Crommers, hope Mrs C and her sister get things sorted. As a matter of interest are you applying for PoA for both financial and health? Many people don't realise there are two separate ones.

Jo, I'm so jealous - I'd love a new kitchen. The way mine was put in is just daft and doesn't maximise the really badly planned space at all. Been living with it for 12 years though; just haven't got the money to do what I'd like to ;-)

Saundra, enjoy the lovely day and make the most of it. And LOL, when a friend and I shared a flat a few years back we painted the lounge yellow; it worked OK but needless to say not necessarily a colour I'd chose again. I've made my life simple and have the entire flat painted white and then I used accessories for colour - much easier :D

Jan, do take it easy and relax this afternoon x

Usual / usual for me today - have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all :D

Quite bright at the moment, but E said it was trying to spit when he went round for the papers so we'll see....

Be gentle with yourself and take it easy Jan xx

Glad you're getting the POA sorted Crommers. Good luck with the care provider, it should make life so much easier for Mrs.C and her sister.

Loved the film yesterday, it was very emotional, I cried. Rene Zellweger was absolutely brilliant, she totally captured the essence of Judy. it was really touching. Of course we all know the story, the abuse she suffered in Hollywood as a child, but it was such a long time ago you somehow forget when watching her films, I wasn't the only one wiping away tears at the end. Afterwards we popped round to the carvery, didn't feel like coming home to cook, finished the day perfectly.

It's Blue Wave again today.

Have a good day :D

Afternoon all! We were up and out early as I was having bloods done at 9.15 and Edward was having his flu shot at the same time. We then thought it would be silly not to do the supermarket shop while we were out, so I cancelled my gym class and we went to Lidl instead as it is just near the doctor’s surgery. I had cleaning to collect also, then when we got home, I had my delayed breakfast (I was fasting for the bloods). It is a pleasant enough day but noticeably colder, I needed my gloves when driving. No major plan for the rest of the day, I might try and put away more of the summer clothes, and sort through what winter clothes I have.
