Yet more discussions

have been had about this winter room on the back terrace

Grumpy has drawn up a rough sketch and work will start in a couple of weeks :Hi: :Hi:

Best to do it this time of year, it's warm, not hot and the wood won't warp.

Now I can sort out pictures on this confounded lap-top, I'll be able to take some, when it's done :D

We love sitting outside Saundra and as we don't get a lot of rain, I really love sitting on the back terrace when it chucks it down   , just watching. Sometimes wrapped up in a blanket

We won't need planning permission, as the terrace is part of the house, so just filling it in with windows and doors.

And a teeny woodburner :Hi:

Will the terrace be wide enough Jan or can you extend it a bit without permission?

Can't really extend it Ria, because of the drain under the path and also will make the building too near the boundary.

What I'd love to do is have it all enclosed for the winter, taking out the kitchen window and making it a door, with a side window. Fill in the other door.

But that isn't going to happen

If we'd had the house built ourselves, we would have done that or similar.

Change of plan

I'm still not sure and so we're going to fill in above the worktop and then have another think.

Will be in glass, so we can still see out ;)
