Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 10 Oct 2019, 05:09

Good morning.

Another low 30's again today but should be dropping to high 20's next week. Hurrah! 8-)

Classes this morning for two hours then popping out to do a spot of mooching. I fancy buying something.

Work 4-7 then meeting Don for a beer and a bite to eat. :D

Thinking of a year ago today and our lovely Di. :( Thoughts too, for Bry. xxxxxxxxx

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Going to be another warm day. We're also cooling down next week 8-)

Thinking our Di xx And Bry too.

Off to Ourique later, to collect the curtains I dropped in a few months ago :cute: :cute: Every time we go in or through the town, we look at the shop is either shut or she's got them at home. She's promised they will be there today, but I'm not holding my breath. She's said that before too  :cute:

Will pop into the library and try and find some books I've not yet read and also the chemist, as I want the doctor to look at Grumpy's eye. He just needs some ointment, I think, but bet to get her to have a look too.

The hunters are out, as it's Thursday and I didn't know until yesterday that the hunters dogs also have to have a licence  For the hunters, it's 65 euros, their dogs, 5 euros. But the dogs also need a trip to the vet beforehand and have various injections. Berlimey, who'd a thunk.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it's sunny and quite cold here. Gloves were needed this morning on the walk.

I may do a bit more reorganising in the kitchen today, I've already got a large bag of items for the charity shop. For instance, there's a mulled wine jug which was a Christmas present and it's never been used but I kept it because it looked nice, and a Christmassy design chocolate fondue set which was also a present and was used once. Both moved here with us and have just been taking up cupboard space since.

I forgot to say that Tom taught his first solo lesson on Tuesday, it wasn't just a short lesson either at 100 minutes, but the person assessing him rated him as 'good' and said he was of a standard he'd expect at the end of the course. He said it was nerve wracking though, but he's teaching the same group again next week and has also got to adapt the lesson plan he'd worked on and teach it to the next year group up.

Ally, I have times when I fancy buying something

Thinking of Di today, she is missed so much xx Thoughts are with Bry

Have a good day all :)

Just been reminded that Gez is coming up later, for several mugs of tea, a gossip and to but my hair.

Is it a year since Di passed? Time flies. She was so lovely, and is so missed.
Cold and sunny here today.
Kevin the boiler man is here today for the annual service. Better get to the cash machine.
MrsC and sil are seeing the carers today. It's not something they want to do but it needs to be done. They've looked after him for three years but he's at the stage now where he needs more help.
We went into the Halifax bank yesterday to discus our ISA. Apparently if we want to switch it to another Halifax ISA "the regulations" say they need to give us a one and a half hour financial assessment. Or, we can just take two forms of ID and draw it out. So it's option number two!
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it is damp and dreary here. Thursday, so we will have the children later on. In the meantime, I am going to put a pile of summer clothes in the attic and take out some winter ones - I hate doing that :( I also want to wrap Kellie’s present to have it ready for tomorrow, then hide it so she doesn't find it today

A year since our lovely Di left us  thinking of Bryan today xxxx

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Good luck with the curtains Jan.
Jo well done to Tom.
Hope Mrs.C and SIL have a good meeting with the carers Crommers.

Back to normal this week, it's Thursday so we'll be off out to do the weekly shopping later. Need quite a lot so it's Boots, M&S, Iceland and then Tesco, I'm exhausted just thinking about it

Thoughts of lovely Di today xxx

Curtain report.

Went to the shop, shut :cute: :cute:

Did the bits and bobs, got some creme for the manky eye, had a phone call. From the curtain lady :Hi: :Hi: I'll be 2 minutes, I said.

Got to the shop and she wanted to know what length I wanted off them   To be fair, it was about 4 months ago and although I'd written it down, she couldn't remember if it was from the top of the tab or the top of the curtain.

Got that sorted out and she said that her husband drove the schoolchildren to Encalho and he would drop them off at the bar when she'd done them 8-) No mention of payment or when he would drop them off

Grumpy said we can pay here in 4 months
