Just when we thought the fire season was over, there's a huge fire near Sintra, with many aircraft helping and other one further up north

I see that over 800,000 homes in California are on power cuts for up to seven days because of the wildfire risk... the threat seems to be everywhere!

I have just been watching UFO Europe on Blaze and one of the stories was about the disappearance of an 11 Sqn Lightning from RAF Binbrook in Lincolnshire. It happened just a few months before I was posted to 5 Sqn also based there.

Somehow a story built over the years that it was a UFO incident and that the pilot had been abducted by aliens. The tale did not come from the RAF as we were always convinced that it stalled into the sea while trying to pace an ultra slow RAF Shackleton during a night flying exercise. The Lightning was always happier flying at the supersonic speeds it was designed for.

Still, it was nice to see the old place and the squadrons on the pan. :D

Opened the lounge shutters earlier, to see a duck trying to get in the pool  :cute:

Don't think I've ever moved so quickly  grabbed a bamboo stick on my way and managed to get rid of it.

But not before it had pooed over the pool terrace and surround :cute: :cute: :cute:

Next door has tried to stop them coming through the fence, but he's put the electric fencing too high :?
