Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 21 Oct 2019, 05:42

Good morning.

Warm and sunny. 8-)

A run, back for a swim then get ready to hit the shops.

According to the IKEA catalogue they have some gorgeous new duvet cover sets just in....and I can't resist the look of them. Although if this bloomin weather stays as it is I'll never get the chance to use them! We're still sleeping on just the bottom sheet and the fan still on!

Dad is having quiet day on his own so I'll pootle at home and decide what colour to paint my nails.

Have a great day.

Thinking of Jackie today as Amy is flying in from Australia and I'm sure the reunion will be very emotional. :( xxxx

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Misty in the valleys and can't see the hills in the distance, but a warm day forecast.

Houseworkery day today. Also laundry to be done, so that will keep me busy. Grumpy is finishing off the hot plate thingy and he's also made a smaller one for us. He's going to make some wooden coasters for them too.

Bbq later, but we'll move it to the front of the house, we'll be in the sun.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

I hope Jackie is as OK as she can be Ally. Enjoy the sun Jan. You'll never believe it, but it's rained overnight here!
MrsC has gone to take her dad to his relatives and ask if the carers were OK; they started today. Then tomorrow MrsC and I are taking ourselves off for a break for a few days.
Before then there is a tip run to be done.
Have a good day all.

Good morning all, it's dry and dull here at the moment.

It's supposed to stay dry all day but then the forecast for yesterday was the same and it rained from 4pm until 8.30  At least Billy got a long walk this morning.

There's housework to do today and I've got a tray of 25 pansies to plant but I might hold off on that job for the time being. I took some bedding plants out a week or so ago which were over and filled the spaces with pansies (my Mom has grown too many!) but the Summer plants that I left in are still flowering and I don't want to remove them for the sake of it while they're still looking so colourful.

Al, I've been eyeing up Ikea bedding too. I think I'll leave it a couple of weeks before going back for some though - I've been there three times in the last week
My thoughts are with Jackie and the girls xx

Have a good day all!

Morning all, it is dull and chilly here but no rain forecast which is good. I put a load of washing out last night due to the dry forecast. Off to the gym soon, then I have various stuff to do for the rest of the day. Edward has gone to play golf.

IKEA has new duvet covers you say.............might need to pay a visit, they are so inexpensive and wash well too - although we have a brushed cotton winter one that I have to bring to be laundered, it is too heavy for me to iron!

Greetings all; didn't quite get here in time to say good morning...

had a rather busy weekend - helped friends move on Saturday which took all day and then yesterday was meant to be a quick meet up with Nadine (my SIL) in town for breakfast and some shopping but we ended up staying in town until after 2.30pm! Needless to say not much time to do anything else besides a quick clean around the house and then cook dinner. I made two portions of mac 'n cheese; one for myself and one for the friends that had moved. They were coming over to collect a few things so I made dinner for them to take home and eat so they could continue unpacking etc... and Peter starts his new job today so didn't want to be out long. Turns out they left just before 9pm! So much for an early night :D

A quiet day in the office today which I'm quite pleased about.

Thinking of Jackie; it will be an emotional day for her
Crommers, have a fab relaxing break - you and Mrs C so so deserve it

Everyone else have a lovely day and step away from that Ikea catalogue! :D :D :D

Afternoon all :D

Very wet and miserable here

Blue Wave is closed for maintenance all day so no hydro session for us today. We had planned to pop into town for a mooch, but with this rain it's not happening. We will take a short drive to the Manston Tesco though, need more fruit and veg. Been called in for a routine medication review with my GP this evening, appointment isn't till 5.45, not the best time really. He usually asks for regular BP readings over 3/4 days so thought I'd save time, have been doing them for the last three days so will take a printed record with me. Hopefully won't be kept waiting around too long.

Have a good day :D

Good afternoon everybody.

Ben having trouble logging in.
Got home from our cruise on Saturday afternoon. Had good weather for most of the time. Some rain when we were in Vigo.
Washing and ironing has started. Went shopping and to the bank this morning. This was before going to the chemist to pick up a pescription. They said it had not arrived from the doctors even though I sent the request befoe I went on holiday on 8th October.
When I phoned doctor they said they had a problem with their computer but woukd fax a copy immediately to the chemist. Went back to the chemist this afternoon and still no prescription. Chemist made yet another phone call. Had to wait over five minutes before the prescription was faxed to the chemist.
And it has been announced that they are going to do away with paper prescriptions.
Now relaxing and on the computer
Have a good d ay everybody.
