We had 3short breaks at the premier inn at southsea it was very expensive to go there tho by train but we enjoyed isle of white and Portsmouth and of course we where lucky enough to see the big liners leaving solent water and go on the hovercraft

I bought a bivouac tent intending to do some walking and camping. Last year it was going to be the Cheddar Gorge and New Forest trip, but the weather never had a good period of dry forecast so it got called off.

However, looking at the prices of pitches was an eye opener. My tent takes up a bit less than 2 sq m yet pitches on camps with just basic washing facilities were £15 - £20 per night. Those adjacent to popular walks such as the Pilgrim's Way or South Down Way were £25+. :shock:

This!! Although we do like weekends away in this country. Crommers, Salcombe is absolutely lovely! 8-)

I don't think we have had a VACATION since 2015! :lol:

We have the caravan of course so use that a fair amount, and then we have our annual trip to the Lakes, and that's about it. We're very carbon friendly ;) :D
