Best laid plans....

Postby Ally » 06 Nov 2019, 14:49

We did our walk as planned and did indeed go to Carre Four for my lovely red kettle.

We then went on to Paloma Park market. It's huge and we had a really lovely long mooch. I bought 10!!! books :P :P and a pair of almost new purple Converse for the princely sum of 3€. 8-) 8-)

The plan had been to come home, watch last night's Masterchef before watching tonight's episode.

Nope....they can both be watched over the weekend as we're going out for a couple of beers early doors and will pick up a pizza on the way home. :D :D

I like a swerve...

Whereas I have just spent hours visiting carpet shops to pick colours and get quotes for the replacements following my paint spill disaster. Deep joy.

Compare and contrast, Ally, compare and contrast.

I am off to get a few beers in and then phone for a takeaway. Sod it. :D

Sounds good! :)

I've had a totally PITA day - missed and delayed buses, rain, stroppy people, and then an emergency dash back into town, in the rain, to replace the bulb for Noodle's terrarium before he froze to death!

I am so ready for our weekend in Devon - we go on Friday! :D

Kaz, that sounds like my day (apart from needing a bulb).
I've gone to catch buses twice in the last week and they've had a 100% failure rate. The first one was at the stop in the bus station but there was no driver so we all had to wait 15 minutes for the next one. Yesterday I went for the Stafford bus, it never turned up and the app tracked it as being in the main depot! By the time the next one came I'd been waiting for 40 minutes

Nightmare, Jo!

The main problem here is they seem to be digging up most of the city, often beat traffic lights, which means lane closures and temporary traffic lights everywhere :cute: It usually takes about five minutes by bus to get into the city, recently you can times that by three, and the timetable has gone to pot....
