Didn't watch it, Saundra, but it's all over the daily papers so you can't escape it, can you?
I think he was very unwise to do it, but then it has been said he isn't the brightest star in the firmament. He has had a poor public image for some time now, and I don't exactly think it's going to get any better. His best bet now would be to hole up somewhere and keep remarkably quiet for a very long time.
It will be interesting to see if the Americans try to extradite him, and I gather they are legally entitled to apply for it. I'd have no objection to that, on condition, of course, they let us have Mrs Sacoolis in return …..

He was at RAF Honington with his mum for her Silver Jubilee. Her and Phil were brilliant, as were Anne and Charlie, but Andy Pandy, the 5W bulb, got everyone's backs up with his unfounded "superiority" complex.

I have to agree Frank, he's very arrogant. A friend of my ex used to work in the grounds of Windsor castle. He often saw HM toddling about, feeding and walking her dogs. Of course staff were only allowed to speak if spoken to, but she was charming. Diana was nice, Fergie was friendly, Princess Margaret and the QM rather imperious.

Andrew was obnoxious to staff - he once actually driwve through a wooden five-bar gate because they didn't open it quickly enough for him! Becky once met Prince Edward and Sophie in Windsor Great Park, when she was a child. She had no idea who they were, and asked to pat their horses. They were utterly lovely, and B still remembers it

I don't think he is a paedophile, just a very entitled man who has always had his own way, but this story isn't going to die down......

As Kaz says, a very entitled man. But it is how he has been brought up, with total deference. Add to that the fact that he is allegedly not the sharpest knife in the drawer and eventually something like this scandal will probably happen. I've read parts of the transcript of the interview and parts of it just don't hold water. He allegedly went to see Epstein in 2010 to tell him their friendship was over - and stayed there for four days. As you do.
Incidentally when I worked for a large northern police force I met a motorcycle policeman. He used to be part of the convoy of outriders for VIPs. A job he performed for various royal visits.
He said on one of them when Princess Diana was the VIP, it chucked it down with rain and the outriders were all wet through. Diana came to see them all after the visit and said thank you. She was lovely, as was the Queen mum on another occasion. Prince Charles and the Duke of Edinburgh got less glowing reviews!

I didn't watch the programme but I did see the part where he tried to justify his association with Epstein. Prince Andrew is an extremely privileged and wealthy individual and I just cannot understand why he would associate himself with people like Epstein and the other dubious characters that he seems to have befriended in the past. He is obviously getting something out of it, he admitted as much during the interview, but it is also financial? Despite all his privileges, is it greed that motivates him? I would not be surprised.

Prince Andrew says he is stepping back from public duties for the "foreseeable future" because of his links to his rich friend and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Good! Don't come back.

I would think he was sat down in front of a piece of paper and a pen put in his hand …..

It's probably his first sensible decision for some time - although he may come to regret that "happy to help the authorities with their enquiries" bit ….
