Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 29 Nov 2019, 07:16

Good morning.

Sunny and warm again. 8-)

A walk is first on the agenda then back to cook chicken drumsticks to take on tomorrow's mountain climb with David. Yes! Yomping with my buddy. :cute: :cute: He's not been too well recently and was also recovering from a fractured ankle but he's fine now. I cannot wait to get my hiking boots on.

Will catch up on the 2 Masterchefs that I've missed then it's homework club 4.30 - 6.30.

Meeting Don afterwards for Friday beers and tapas.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all and happy Friday!!!!

Jen, have a fabulous time and hope you have the most perfect weather
Ally, have a fab day and happy yomping for tomorrow. Agree with Jan - tell David to take it easy ;-)
Jan, hope you get everything sorted with the forms and photos and say hi to the people at the bar. How is Jose doing - haven't asked in a while?

I got to work a bit later than expected... was running late as it was and then got to the car and had to scrape ice off the windscreen (turned into a lovely crisp autumn / winter day) which I wasn't expecting at all; so that delayed me even more. Then on the way to the station there is one lane I drive through that in a certain part you can only fit one car... fine if you drive there regularly and take turns with giving way. This morning though some chap in an SUV for some reason thought there would be enough space for his car and a garbage truck!!!! Why on earth he didn't stop and wait I don't know but result was that he had to (begrudgingly) end up reversing and wasn't being very capable doing so and that then took another few minutes to sort.... so I missed the train I wanted and got the next one - oh well.

And then leaving at 4pm - girly appointment this evening having nails done; perfect way to end the week :D

Have a lovely day everyone and enjoy whatever it is you are doing xxx

Morning all, it is sort of sunny in a watery kind of way and there has been a shower of rain. Nevertheless, Edward has headed off hoping to get a few holes of golf. I am going to the gym but will go early as they have Green Friday offers and I might get something for Miss Osc for Christmas. Going dancing tonight. Have a fab holiday, Jen!

Good morning all, after a week of rain we have the most beautiful sunny and frosty morning :Hi:

Bill's had his first off lead walk/run on the common since last Sunday, he hates rain so we've dodged the heavy stuff and done quick walks around the village all week.

John's got the bus into work today as he's out afterwards, someone's retiring so they're going out for a few drinks. He'll get the bus back later tonight and I'll walk down with Bill and meet him in town.

Joe left for work at 6, we waved him off  , he was going to start at 6.45am so he could get his 5 hours done and get off early to drive to Falmouth. He's got Monday off so is coming back then instead of Sunday night.

I'm yet again waiting for an Amazon delivery. John's ordered some Merrell walking shoes and I've got a couple of bottles of cologne coming for the boys for Christmas.

Have a great holiday Jen!

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :)

Ally, I hope you enjoy your yomp tomorrow, and vibes for David's ankle {{{x}}}

Jo, we had frost too! I hope Joe has a good journey down to Cornwall :) xx

Safe flight, Jen, and have a great holiday :)

Ria, I've been doing my own nails for ages now, but B has been getting hers done at the place where they do her hair, and they look amazing! Gels, in gorgeous colours, not too long - I am seriously tempted for Christmas 8-)

Enjoy your dance, Osc :)

Well I was on the bus by 8.30 - I had to run for it, so luckily I had my flat boots on  I wanted to be Shereen's first customer when Supercuts opened at 9am, as Fridays can get busy there! All sorted now, and the best news is that she has a new job, at a salon where they make appointments! :Hi:

Just waiting for B now, in M&S cafe - she's off today, and has been to the gym early, then to Longford to get her nails done.

Love to all xxx

Jose is doing okay, thanks Ria. Although he was moaning yesterday about the damp and how it is making his knee hurt. But Odette has had to do all the olives trees virtually on her own this year :o Maria Jose is no help and Jose can't, so her children came up the last two week-ends to help out.

I have been sat on the gravel, picking out the grasses that just will not die, even though I've sprayed them several times and chucked a load of salt on them. So they are now covering the bare patches on the "lawn".

Still sneezing and feel "heady" but better than yesterday ;)

No point me having my nails done, they break off too easily, working outside

Dull and grey, although mild.

Kaz I started getting my nails done professionally in late summer, it's a bit of a luxury as the procedure is 2 hours (!!) and costs about £25-30 a time but my nails were ever so strong and fantastic. However last time I went I asked for regular gel nails thinking it would be quicker and cheaper. Well it's turned out not to be the best decision I ever made....my nails all broke really low down so I had to trim them all off and now I've picked all the gel off. I'll be going back to the better ones (BioSculpture, apparently they are made for weak nails and they flippin' work!!) as soon as I'm up to it!

Well, yet more things cancelled on account of this 'virus'.....was meant to be going to Seaham this morning to have a catch up with 4 other work girls, Jan who retired last year, Anne, Dawn and Karen, but I cancelled as I still don't feel right and it's a fair drive to Seaham. BUT it was a gorgeous morning so I wrapped up and drove down to the river near Durham and had a walk, breathing deeply and filling my lungs with fresh air.

Meant to be going to a show of Hairspray tonight with Tom and Jen but again, the coughing has put paid to that. I've asked J if Kyle would like my ticket (doubt it, it's not his thing) but shame to miss out on my account.

Last night we had a visit from Amy and the new boyfriend. His name is.....Tom (!!) and this time he seems really nice. Time will tell but fingers crossed she has met someone fab.

Have a lovely day all, hugs and vibes for the poorlies and hope we all feel better soon x
