Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 18 Dec 2019, 07:37

Good morning.

Sunshine and forecast 20 degrees. :)

Off for a good long stomp round our hilly streets.

Back to relax and read and watch last night's Masterchef. :D

Dad and Michele, as I type, are at Glasgow airport getting a flight to Stansted airport, meeting up with Mark and his mum and the 4 of them are then flying to Lomoges. Dad will be in France now with them until January 5th when Michele will fly back to Scotland with dad and then I fly over on the 10th to be with both of them for dad's birthday. Michele will then return to France on the 15th and then Don and I fly to dad's end of February. We're doing it so dad will always see at least one of us every month. ;) ;)

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cloudy but oddly quite warm

Safe journey to them all Ally :)

Will ring Mitchell later, no point in trying too early ;) if he isn't around, we'll have to ring Nelson again and he'll come out. The difference is, we'll have to pay him  With Mitch, it'll just be a beer or three

Once the water is back, I'll have to get the scourer out and literally scrub the basin, bowls as the water will stain otherwise

Will need to decide on chicken or pork for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it's a horribly foggy one here.

I've walked Billy and had to run back as I had an Amazon notification as we were starting to head back saying that my order would be here between 8.30 and 10.45. This was at 8.28 and we were about 45 minutes away from home
As it is, it's now nearly 10am and it's still not arrived. It's on the estate and four stops away though according to the tracker.

Amanda stayed last night, it was SO lovely to see her again :)

I've got to pop to the post office to send a parcel once Amazon have been (two stops away now) and then it's back to wait for the Tesco delivery

Al, it's lovely how you've both arranged to visit your Dad. Wishing them all safe journeys for today x

Have a good day all!

Your dad will have a wonderful time Ally. Jo, that is annoying! Come on Mitch!
We had a busy day yesterday.
FiL to hospital for a brain scan. I then got stuck in traffic because of an accident (hope everyone was ok). Then getting the house back into order after the painting, and then MrsC slipped down the last step of the stairs and turned her ankle. She was in real pain. So, back to hospital, A and E this time. No break though and the pain is easier this morning.
What a carry on.
I've told MrsC that I'm going to superglue her to the settee to make sure she does what she has been told, rest and elevation.
Have a good day all and stay warm if you can - it's freezing here.

Morning all, it is a miserable day here and due to get even more miserable. We had planned a lovely day out, into town to have something to eat and then go to a Christmas market in Dublin Castle - entry to the State Apartments is free after 6pm and they are decorated in Victorian style. I was really looking forward to it but there is no point in this weather, quite apart from the outdoor market, we would be going on public transport and would have about a 20 minute walk from the train :o So we are going to drive to a shopping centre, have a mooch around and do the supermarket shop on the way back. There is really no other day we can go to the market and it finishes on Sunday

Jo, we are still awaiting the One Pot from Amazon. We don’t have Amazon vans over here, and it has been given to the same courier that lost our packet last week  According to the tracker, yesterday they encountered an “operational delay” whatever that means and it has not been updated since   (I love this sticky out tongue smiley :D )

Morning all :)

Rain overnight, but lots of dry patches so looks like it's clearing.

Sounds like you and your sister have things nicely arranged for your dad Ally.
Hope you get the water fixed Jan.
Oh dear Crommers, Mrs.C is having a bad time, hope you can get her to rest and take it easy.
Hope your deliveries arrive okay Osc and Jo.

Went into town on the bus yesterday, E came too and went to the barber while I had my hair done. Did intend to stay and have coffee and a toastie somewhere, but he was really sore and the weather wasn't good so we came back here for lunch. We'll be taking it nice and easy today, last big shopping day tomorrow so I'll get him wired up to the tens and hope he's feeling a lot better in the morning.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Water now sorted :Hi:

Only problem is the loo, the gubbins isn't working properly, so Grumpy is taking it apart again  Might have to get a new one :o

Oh berlimey Crommers  Tie her down to the sofa, leg elevated and do your nursey bit. Hope the pain eases soon x

Any deliveries we have all go to the bar   Hope yours arrive/have arrived by now.

Shame about the weather Osc, it's mizzley here and we're on orange alert for wind and rain for today and some of tomorrow. It's really hammering it down oop north

Now off to sort out the pork loin (it's almost a foot long  and the chicken breasts. Molly will be happy, she gets some off-cuts
