Moring ally, morning everyone

Dull, grey, very windy and very wet. Although quite mild :? Will rescue various things that have blown over during the night later

Safe journey Kaz x Hope it goes as well as it can xx

Cleaning today, what I can, anyway. I have candles and other stuff on a couple of window ledges and the mantlepiece is covered in Christmas cards

Curry making later and I'm trying a different chicken dish for tonight. Then we have Masterchef, as long as the wind dies down.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

I'm loving Masterchef Jan. The chefs are so good!

We went out last night to watch the Barca Madrid game and I'm out tonight so tomorrow morning after my walk I'm going to watch the final two episodes. I'll be on a social media curfew until then!

Good morning all, it's drizzly here at the moment.

I'm off to Stafford shortly. I assumed that college had finished as Joe was there yesterday and they had no classes in the afternoon so were sent home at lunchtime so I was going to get the 8.45 bus but I had a quick look online and it's still open today so I'll get the later one once the college kids have travelled.

I was racking my brains as to what to get John for Christmas as he never wants anything but I had a flash of inspiration yesterday. He's been mentioning going to Paris though so....in May we're going to Los Angeles for six days  It's his absolute favourite place to go, he always says that the best holidays he's ever had have been there, and we've been a few times now but there's always more that we want to see and do. I've told him, there's was no way I could keep it secret for a week

Have a good day all!

Morning all

Jo, you made me giggle - Paris vs LA; well why ever not :D what a fabulous surprise
Jan, hope the chicken dish works out and fingers crossed the wind dies down and you can watch MC.
Ally enjoy the last day and then enjoy the break

Usual work day for me - bossman is now away until the new year :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: He's been a bit like a bear with a sore head recently (fine with me but snappy at others) so everyone is breathing a sigh of relief. It's really odd because in the past before we were taken over he was one of the three partners, but now he really isn't anything important anymore but he's still quick to bark orders and demand things and not do much himself. I know words have been had with him as he can be quite short with people but every so often he just goes back to his old ways.

This evening I need to head to Wildlife Aid to collect two hedgehogs for release. I took them in a few weeks back as they were underweight but they've now gained the weight they need and because it's rather mild (for this time of year) a lot of rescues are releasing what they can as it's better for the wild animal to be out where it should be vs confined in a small pen and stressed. Ideally they should go to the garden they came from (a neighbour 10 houses down) but she doesn't have the set up I do so I'm releasing them in my garden instead.

have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all :)

Bright and sunny here, hope it lasts.

Have a fun last day Ally.
We'll be glued to Masterchef this evening too Jan. It's been a great series, two of them are particular favourites, but all three in the final are worthy winners.
Los Angeles sounds wonderful Jo, something lovely to look forward to.

Weekly shopping day for us, not too much to get, we did most of it before we went away so it's just fresh veggies, fruit and a few other bits. Expect it will be manic at Westwood Cross, but there's no way I'm going without my M&S toastie and coffee :x

Hope you all have a good day :D

Afternoon all, another grey, dreary day here but marginally better than yesterday which felt like the end of days - high winds and pouring rain. I was out early this morning as yesterday in the rain I banged a wheel off a curb and damaged it, so had to get a new tyre. We were in a retail park and were waiting for Ford Assist for about two hours - I’ve never changed a wheel in my life and Edward has problems with his hands and wouldn't know where to start anyway. When the man arrived, he did it in five minutes, so easy when you have the right equipment. At least we were able to go off and have a cuppa and something to eat, and do the shopping we had come to do so the time was not wasted. I’ve collected Kellie from school, and when Michael gets here they will decorate their gingerbread house. I won a cracker making kit in a raffle on Sunday, so we can do that with them too. Tonight I need to finish off the knitted gifts I have been making and I’ve caught up on the ironing.....until I create more

Hi everyone!! At last, after 6 long weeks I FINALLY managed an Aqua class!!! :D :D Last one of the year and no more till Jan 9th but it was FAB to get the exercise and catch up with everyone! 8-) In particular Pam, my friend who was diagnosed with BC and has had a lumpectomy. She had some bad news re having to go through chemo when she was told at first radiotherapy, but they've now told her no chemo necessary, radio only, which starts in about 6 weeks so she's very pleased, and so are we!! I've not seen her since the beginning of October, and my other friend Anne, not seen her in 6 weeks so it was just lovely! We went to 'Spoons for a cuppa and something to eat with some of the other ladies - wearing our Christmas headbands and jumpers LOL, and then after hugs all round in the car park, it was Lidl and Asda for me and then home.

I've done a bit of h/w but I have to do the wrapping yet (yes, still!!) so I really will have to make a start on that tonight!!

Hope Kaz's journey goes ok xx

Have a good evening all x
