Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 22 Dec 2019, 07:28

Good morning.

Sunny and forecast 24 degrees. 8-)

Today's yomp has been postponed until tomorrow. My boss contacted me last night and asked if I'd join her at our local football team's stadium for some presentation/champagne reception thingy so I said yes.

No idea when it'll finish so will go with the flow and organise the rest of my day when I get home. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Sunshine :Hi: :Hi: and rather warm for the time of year 8-)

Enjoy the presentation Ally :)

Washing machine on and we'll open the doors on the rather damp store rooms  and put everything back where they belong, plants, chairs etc. I'll do the floors when Molly gets up

Roast pork for dinner :)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Champagne? Fab, Ally :D :D

Warm and sunny sounds good to me, Jan 8-)

We're going out for breakfast, then I'm going to do the big Christmas food shop, and then Mick will drive Harry home. It's been lovely having him here.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Just got back from the supermarket. It was already heaving by 9:55, 5 minutes before the checkouts opened ….

Still the Town Band were playing carols outside and everyone seemed in a good mood (I hope it lasts! ) unlike last week when a lot of Crusties were getting over-agitated :(

Hope your food shop goes OK, Kaz, and you can get what you're after.

Sunny here too, Jan and Ally, but it's only a brief respite, I'm afraid :)

Wow that was great fun! :D

Los Manantiales, our local footy stadium, has just had a major refurb so the mayor came along to declare it officially opened.

There was a real carnival atmosphere (but saying that, the locals celebrate the opening of a packet of crisps   ) lots of nibbly food and bubbly stuff.

We could have stayed to watch the match but left that to the others.

I could say it's warm but it's actually hot so I've come home and told Don to get his shorts and trainers on and we'll take a rucksack and water and go for a good long yomp up and down our hilly streets. :D

As lunch here is between 3 and 4 that'll give us a few hours to work up hunger and a thirst.

I'll get a pollo asado to bring home this evening. :D

Morning all, it looks quite nice out there. Edward is busy playing with his new Instant Pot toy and intends to cook the ham in it tomorrow. Today I plan to wrap presents and do some ironing, I’m feeling very tired though so will see how I get on. We want to do some shopping but will do as much as we can locally - it would be nice to avoid the supermarket tomorrow if at all possible.

Morning all. Out to the supermarket for a bit of C shopping in a while. Hopefully the place won't be rammed; with any luck they'll all have done an Os and been there at ten on the dot!
You can never tell though. Our neighbour Nicola went to Asda at 9,30pm thinking it would be empty and it was packed!
Grey here but damp. No wonder we get arthritis in this country.
Onwards and upwards!
Have a great day.

eta Look after yourself Osc. If you have a good rest you might have more energy for the wrapping and ironing. x

Well, Sainsbury's wasn't as bad as I expected. I left Mick and the kids having a HUGE fried brekkie in the cafe, and whipped round with my list. By the time I'd finished, so had they, and they helped me pack.

I got everything I needed, and will be collecting my order of fresh turkey, stuffed beef joint and prepped veg on Christmas Eve. B has just told me that she opted for the posh veggie and chocs box as her gift from work this year, instead of booze, so I think I'll be making veggie soup after Christmas  :?

Mick has not long been in from dropping Harry back, he's had to do a lot of driving over the past few days, but there's no more travelling planned now :D

Osc, take it easy (((x)))

Good evening all!

I've had the house to myself since yesterday morning. I've got loads done!!
Tom's at Shannon's, Joe and Amanda went to visit a friend in Swansea and then Joe took Amanda to meet the family and that's where John is too. Tom will be back later tonight, Joe and Amanda will be back within the hour and John's driving back after breakfast.

I've had company this afternoon though, Ruth came around so we've had a good old chinwag and a lot of laughs :D
