Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 01 Jan 2020, 07:20

Good morning.

Happy New Year!

What I'm doing up at 8am when I didn't get home until 3.45 is any one's guess!

We did the grapes and cava at midnight (I managed 4 grapes in the 12 bongs  ) and were sauntering home when we met Jose and his partner who asked us back to the bar for a drink. The rest is history....

Off for a good stomp after my coffee then plan to read (doze  ) and relax for the rest of the day.

Have a good one.

Morning Ally, Saundra and everyone

Happy New Year :Hi:

Gorgeous morning, although a little chilly at the moment.

Last night didn't turn out quite as planned. The food was stunning, really soft meats and all the side dishes, mine included, soon went :D The karaoke started and the family are really good singers :D I went inside to get my (first  ) glass of wine and was chatting to Jan and her mum. Followed her mum outside, who fell, rather badly, cracked her head, probably dislocated her shoulder and cut her hand on the glass she was carrying.

The bombeiros arrived within 7 minutes and she and the family went off to Castro Verde urgência. I haven't rung yet, thought it best to leave it until about 10.00. But we have planned to meet some of the family and a couple of friends at the bar this afternoon.

Worryingly though, the bar was shut when we passed it

Stew is festering, ready for tonight, so no cooking for me. I might, just might, head back to the drive and do a little weeding later.

Have a good day everyone, with or without a hangover xx

Morning all, and Happy New Year! :D :D

Ally, I wish I had half your energy! :D You deserve your lazy day ;) xx

Hope your telly is ok today Saundra! :? xxx

We're out for lunch with Emma and Dave at The Whittle in Brockworth, and will go and see D afterwards, I think. B is working, Mick dropped her up there, and has just got back. Only a skeleton staff on today, but it was either work Boxing Day or NYD  ;)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Had a fantastic blow off the cobwebs run and it's really warm. So lucky to live not far from the coast of Africa...it does make for very mild winters. 8-)

This time last year I was walking in Sherwood forest with Craig...where has the time gone?!

Now....I've been told by hubadub that I'm to look at booking a hotel in May.

But first he has to book tickets for something.....all very mysterious. I'll get back and let you know what it's all about once I find out what it's all about.

Hope that lady will be ok Jan. xx

Morning all, it looks like a nice day out there. We are heading into town soon, not many shops open but one particular department store generally has great bargains today so we will head there and have something to eat in their restaurant too. Quick tidy around before we go. Happy New Year to all, we were in bed by 11.30 last night :D

Saundra, I have a calendar to write up as well.

Just spoken to Jan. The bombeiros took her to Beja, after assessment in Castro and she had dislocated here shoulder, but they sorted her out, stitched her cuts and took her back to Jan's.

She's now sitting up in bed, waiting for tea and toast :D Still shaky, which is to be expected, she's in her 80's. She's not due to fly back until Sunday, so hopefully, will be able to travel.

Just had a big fry up and have decided on a lazy day, so that's what we'll do.

Oh, how exciting Ally :Hi:
