Morning all. I'm glad the lady is OK Jan, that sounds like a nasty fall she had.
We were kept awake past midnight by the newish fashion of letting off fireworks to see the new year in.
It's nice that you can still get genuine new year's bargains Osc! Enjoy your days in Wales Meds.
Not much on today, MrsC is still down with the bug; at least the TV looks better today, there is some quite good stuff on.
I need to sneak over the road and put some stuff in sister in law's recycle bin, ours is full!
Have a good day all.

What a nasty accident Jan, glad she's okay.

We stayed up to watch the fireworks around the world so needed a nice long lie in this morning.

No plans for today, read that as doing absolutely nothing

Wishing you all the best for 2020 :D

Happy New Year all!

We started the day with a lovely long walk and a lovely surprise. There's a lovely twisting path through the woods which we always used to walk along but it's become overgrown with holly and brambles and every single day for almost a year Bill's stood at the end of it but been told that we can't go that way because it's overgrown. I tried to get down there with him a few days before Christmas but had to turn back. Anyway, some wonderful person has been along and cut it all back! It must've taken them hours as it's a long path and they've really done a good job of it :D

Joe's at Amanda's as they went out in Stafford last night and Tom's back from Shannon's tonight. He's been gone since Saturday, he and John had an argument on Friday night so instead of Shannon coming here as planned he went there but they've stayed with friends in Nottingham overnight.

We're now watching Four Weddings And A Funeral

Have a good day all!

Good afternoon all. We just about saw in the New Year, and there were a few odd fireworks around, but all pretty muted.

I noticed walking up to get the paper this morning that someone's abandoned a half-empty bottle of Jack Daniels on a garden wall nearby, so there must have been a bit of revelry ….
