What's for dinner Wednesday?

Postby Ally » 08 Jan 2020, 17:25

Red meat is something we eat very little of but an hour ago Don suggested we go out for dinner to el Toro.

A nice juicy steak then with lots of trimmings....and now it's fixed in my mind I'm really looking forward to it. :cute:

Just what we're having Ally

Baked onion, stuffed with cheese and wrapped in presunto for a starter and then a fat steak, griddled, with proper chips, peas and garlic mushrooms :D

Well it was a Charlie Bighams' chicken jalfrezi and pilau rice for two, with some mixed veg from the freezer.
It was on reduction at Waitrose this morning, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it! ;)
By gum the cardomum seeds or whatever they were brought tears to the eyes .....

Al, we have steak once a fortnight. That's the only time I eat red meat, not that I eat much meat anyway.

Every two weeks both lads are away (and I've been panicking over Christmas that they'd get out of sync  ) so we have steak with baby corn and mange tout, mushrooms, peppercorn sauce and homemade wedges cooked in the airfryer...it's now known as Steak Saturday

Tonight Tom and John had lasagne and wedges, I had a jacket potato. Joe's gone to see Amanda's family so he's eating with them.
