Good Morning Monday

Postby JanB » 13 Jan 2020, 08:16

Morning everyone

Thick frost this morning  :o But the sun is out, the sky is blue, so hopefully, it will melt soon. Looks like another warm afternoon, chilly the rest of the day 8-)

Plants seem to be coping okay, but if it continues, we'll have to cover the fruit trees and the succulents. Looking at the weather forecasts, we might have a chilly night tonight, but then getting a little warmer. Fingers crossed 8-)

Houseworkery day for me and washing too. Grumpy hurt his shoulder a few weeks ago - his right one - and won't and didn't rest it enough, so is now complaining on a daily - if not hourly  :cute: - about how much it hurts. He's seen the doc, she just said old bones  but i think it's a muscle pull.

He'll hopefully finish the top bit above the windows today. That will really cut the wind down.

Leftover curry for tonight, might have to make a stew for the rest of the week

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Jan. I still can't get over frost in Portugal!
Sunny with blue skies here atm, no sign of the rain and gales that have been forecast.
MrsC has taken cheerful Charlie Chester to his rellies and we'll go and see Eliza this pm.
Apart from that not too much doing. We're having stew as well tonight.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, we’re battening down the hatches for the arrival of Storm Brendan, it’s grey and miserable out there. Edward is not playing golf, but I will be going to the gym. There is ironing to be done this afternoon. We heard last night that Flybe is teetering on the edge of collapse, wouldn't you know that we booked flights with them on Friday night

Morning all :D

Dry, but definitely overcast and dull.

Fingers tightly crossed for you Osc.

Not sure if I told you Blue Wave had to shut the pool while we were in Gran Canaria. The dehumidifier conked out and the part needed to fix it had to be specially made. It's not likely to be fitted before the end of this month so I've had no hydro sessions since mid November. Just one of those things, but I've really missed it and of course it's put me back a few months.

Bits and bobs today, need more fruit and veg so will drive over to the small Tesco later.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning everybody.

Went shopping tis morning before the bad weather started. It is now raing with strong winds.
We go to town on the bus as it is free after 9.30 a.m and no parking problem. Parking is a poblem in most towns.
A new road is being built in our twon. Planners say it will ease congestion on one of the old roads. Yet a planning application has been made to build a large distribution centre on green belt land with access onto a dual carraige way which gives access to amotorway junction. The new raod will join onto the dual carraige way. Fortunately I do not have to go that way very often.
As sailors used to say we have battened down thw hatches.

Afternoon everyone :)

Osc, fingers tightly crossed! XX

Jen, that is a shame, about your hydro sessions :( I know from breaks in my Pilates sessions how quickly fitness can be lost :( xxx

*Waves to everyone*

Out this morning to meet Emma in town, Becky came too, as she's having a week's annual leave and is off to her dad's on Wednesday, for a few days. She and Em get on really well, so we've had a nice time. It's wet and cold, so turning out for Zumba tonight won't be easy, but needs must!

Love to all xxx

Just so happy being outside in the sun. Not now, of course  but lobe the slightly lighter evenings.

Did the houseworkery stuff, two loads of washing - Grumpy forgets I'm a little smaller than him and had put the washing line back up for his height :cute: :cute:   So a little exercise, jumping up and down, to get the washing on

Started spraying the weeds on the drive, but Jan rang, and came up with her mum and to bring glasses and bowls back.

Her mum still has bruising from when she fell and is a little tottery, but we managed the steps in and out of the house. They wanted to see the winter room, as they're going to have similar - but their winter room is almost as big as our house

Grumpy now watching Airplane and laughing so much.

Early ish night, warmer in bed ;)
