Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 16 Jan 2020, 06:49

Good morning.

Warm and sunny forecast. 8-)

Classes 9 - 11 then meeting a friend for coffee and a pitufo.

Back to work to change the window display. Our academy has a double frontage and work from the students is displayed in the windows. Every year we choose themes that they've been working on and they do something accordingly. So today all last year's work comes out and the new stuff goes in. :D

Classes 4 - 7 then meeting Don for a pre-weekend beer and a bite to eat. :P

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Gorgeous morning

Washing machine on and time will be spent outside at some point, weeding   Although the flower beds are still too wet, I can still find things to pull up

Grumpy will paint the wood again and I will also - well, might - clean a couple of shelves in the pantry. Not my favourite job and I've been putting it off for a while. I have three wooden shelving racks and they are rather full ;)

Bide a casa for dinner :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally & JanB and anybody else who is up

Cloudy but no rain. We seem to have missed the bad weather which they have had down south.
Just pootling today. Having visitors tonight. So I will be having a few shots of whisky. I only buy a good single malt at least 12 years old.
So no driving tomorow.
Have a good day everybody.

Good morning all :)

I'm just back from a long walk with Billy before the rain starts. There's an Amazon delivery coming today, not sure what time though.

We went to see 1917 at the Odeon last night, it's an incredible film - an absolutely breathtaking edge of the seat film - but so emotionally draining.

Have a good day all!

Morning all

Ally, post a picture of the new display when done - always lovely to see what the kids do / make.
Jan, rather you than me with the pantry - I need to clean out two of my kitchen cupboards and have been putting that off for ages :D And they're only 1/8 the size of your pantry
Cruiser, enjoy the evening with your visitors
Jo, glad you got that walk in - I'm so done with the rain, I truly am. Haven't heard of 1917 - need to google it.

A lovely sunny morning here but more rain expected from midday onwards; quite heavy at times. I don't know where all this water is meant to go; but thankfully so far (touch wood) no reports of any major flooding in the area.

Usual work day and then meeting friends for dinner. We have 30% off the entire bill for Pizza Express voucher so going to make use of that.

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all :)

Ally, that window is a great idea  There is a really interesting display in an unused shop front in town, by the bus station. It's been done out like a 1930s/40s living room, with original furniture etc 8-)

Jan, I'm with Ria about the clear out

Enjoy your evening Cruiser :)

Jo, my sister said the same about 1917, she went the other day.

Ria, we've had SO much rain here, I'm totally sick of it, and counting the days until our holiday!

Well so far it looks dry here "she said cautiously" and I hope it stays that way, as I'm sick of getting wet every time I leave the house - it isn't helping me shift this sore throat  Shopping with D today, and Pilates tonight if I feel up to it!

Roll on Spring! ;) xxx

Morning all. I have a bit of time on my hands (sorry about not doing your cleaning Ria!).
MrsC and her sis have gone to choose some blinds for sis's flat. After that they are going round to their dad's to give him sis's spare tv as he appears to have broken the one he got last week.
I need to get out for a paper, lottery ticket etc.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Nice and dry at the moment, fingers crossed it stays that way.

Goodness Crommers how on earth did he break the tv, no point asking really, don't suppose he knows what he did. While my mother lived with us she managed to finish off three electric kettles, quite dangerous really.

Weekly shopping for us, M&S then Tesco.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Afternoon all, it’s a very miserable day here, wet and windy. Miss Osc just texted me to say that Kellie has inappropriate shoes on for the rain, so we’ll be trying to dry those for her after I get her here from school. I’ll be bringing Michael to open a post office account later, it has only taken Miss Osc about six months to get the necessary documents together  I went to a new class in the gym this morning, all about stretching and flexibility, it was good and I have booked to do it again next week. When we were doing ankle rotations, all you could hear was my left ankle cracking, it never totally recovered from the injury four years ago. Right, lunch, and then out in the rain to collect Kellie at 1.30.

Jen, as far as machines are concerned FiL has always been the grim reaper.
He has broken (and this isn't just recently) TV's, washing machines, watches, electric shavers, hearing aids and even curtain rails.
He's always been heavy handed.
