Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 29 Jan 2020, 07:10

Good morning.

Sunny and 20 degrees forecast again. 8-) 8-)

Off for a quick run then back to get ready and go to Plaza Mayor. I need to get a Pandora charm for a friend's 'special' birthday and might as well enjoy some retail therapy in C&A and H&M.

There's a great wee Mexican restaurant so we'll have lunch there.

Chilling out this evening. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

The sky is a picture at the moment, pink, black clouds, orange and blue sky, just a picture :D So should be a lovely day ;)

Will b doing our normal run around this morning, need water filters, also need paintbrushes, then the centro de saude and finally Pingo and the chemist. Phew 8-) Oh and pop into Alentejana too.

Hopefully, Pingo will have vinegar, so I can spray the rest of the gravel. And maybe weed a flower bed this afternoon, if it's dry enough.

Have a good day everyone whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Happy special birthday to your friend, Ally :D Enjoy your lunch :) xx

Hope you get all your bits and pieces done Jan :) xx

It's sunny here, but pretty cold. I'm meeting my friend J in town for a quick cuppa, will probably walk up to see D afterwards. I have a week's worth of ironing to do later :cute:

Mick is giving our car the once over, before its MOT on Friday, but it should be fine. Becky's goes in for one tomorrow, he's already changed the battery etc on that. It's been off-road for ages but she's having another go at her test very soon. Fingers crossed XX

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning all, it's sunny, breezy and the common was frosty first thing. The days are certainly getting longer though.

I had a long walk with Bill and was back in time to see Joe before he left for college. I'm now waiting for my Tesco delivery, it should be here within the hour, and I'd scheduled some Amazon purchases to come today seeing as I'd have to be in for Tesco but, just to make it interesting, two items are being delivered by Amazon, one by Royal Mail and the other by Hermes. No idea why, it's not even like they're being sent by marketplace sellers, they're all sold by Amazon.

Cinema tonight to see the new David Copperfield film, it looks good from the trailers.

Kaz, fingers crossed that Becky passes next time!

Have a good day all :D

Yep, fingers crossed for B. Billy is a lucky dog Jo.
Clear here but very chilly. MrsC and her sis have gone to their dads. I'm in, waiting for the bin cleaning men to turn up.
Have a good day all.

Morning everyone

a lovely sunny start to the day again; but how going a bit hazy and I think a bit of rain expected later today; but that also means warmer again - this weather really can't make up it's mind.

Ally, enjoy the shopping and lunch
Jo, hope all the bits arrive asap so you can get on with your day. Talking Tesco delivery - we have Sainsbury' deliver the office groceries and usually the drivers are super nice and helpful. Today though the guy refused to come up to the 2nd floor and said he couldn't leave the goods outside the front door here because he's not allowed to leave them on the floor. But he was happy to leave them on the floor downstairs in the reception lobby? Trying to figure out if I have the energy to call Sainsbury's and say something, but never know if the driver is just always unhelpful like that or just having a bad day and wouldn't want to make it worse for him. Who knows what happens in their private lives?
Kaz; definitely fingers crossed for Becky; is she still doing driving lessons / is she driving enough to keep it up?
Jan, hope you get everything done you need to
Crommers; I had to re-read your post.... was wondering why you were waiting for the bin men to turn up; surely you don't need to be in for them - until I realised it was the bin cleaning men :D.

A usual / usual for me again - lovely :D Bossman is off later today and won't be back until Monday; always nice :D

Have a lovely day everyone xxx

Usual / usual today which is lovely

Morning all, it’s pretty cold here but no frost. Dry, which is good. Gym this morning, supermarket shop this afternoon. Before the gym, I need to pop up to the post office to get some money and pay money off the credit card from our holiday account. Nice to have holidays to look forward to.

Been a gorgeous spring like day 8-)

But this afternoon didn't go as planned :( Been having major problems - leaking  with the Glad bags and back plates. I've actually gone through a whole box in 24 hours  That's five back plates  :o

I've been in touch with the company who supply the bags and back plates and I've to take them back to the chemist, who will them send them on to them.

My dilemma was that I was going through so many, I would run out and I had no confidence in them. The amount of washing that«'s been going on for the last few days :cute:

Went to the Centro de Saude this afternoon and asked for an emergency prescription, which Dra Ana did within 5 minutes, took that to the chemist and I'll get a load of new back plates tomorrow afternoon.

Meanwhile, I'll investigate other suppliers.

We've only just come inside, it's been a lovely afternoon, but we're going down to single figures again at night. Bonkers, when it's 20C during the day and 8C at night
