Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 30 Jan 2020, 06:49

Good morning.

Warm and sunny forecast. 8-)

Usual 2 classes (last of the exams) then meeting my friend for coffee and pitufo. They also do a divine lemon drizzle cake that might be scoffed too.

Classes 4 - 7 then meeting Don for a pre-weekend beer or two.

Have a great day.

Oh...do you remember Elsa student coming to me for some extra lessons before and after the new year? She whatsapped me yesterday that she's passed her B2 exam. I was over the moon but it's nothing to how happy she is. She wrote me a lovely message that brought a lump to my throat.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely sunny morning, with a little mist over the hills and valleys 8-)

Well done Elsa :Hi:

This morning, we are painters  We'd like to finish painting the gates. I'll do the fiddley bits that Grumpy hasn't the patience to do, he can do the main part of it.

Hopefully, will finish that and then I can attack one of the flower beds, before we head back into Ourique and drop off the bags and plates I have no confidence in. I've already got some samples from other companies of their way. Although in saying that, with our post office, it could be another couple of months before they arrive   :cute:

Will pit stop at the bar on the way back.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Hi all. Today and tomorrow we're looking after Eliza so I won't be around much.
Have a good one!

Morning you two

Ally, well done to Elsa, and also well done to you for helping, guiding and encouraging her through the process
Jan, hope you get the painting done and fingers crossed the new plates etc don't take that long!
Crommers, enjoy having Eliza - so special for her to have so much time with her grandparents. Said it before and said it again - it's something we never had and I do feel that I missed out sometimes. So enjoy every minute with her x

Well an unexpected busy morning here - went to put the bins out and when I came back I couldn't lock my front door; it would appear the mechanism (gears) have ceased; typical. Frantic phone call to a locksmith who referred me to a friend and bless him - he's shifting his other two clients to a bit later in the day so he can come to me first before I head out at 10h30. Just shy of potentially £200 later for a new locking mechanism but hey - sadly petty theft / break ins seem to be on the rise in our peaceful area so security, esp front door, isn't something to mess about with or do on the cheap

Then off for my ceremony and a celebratory lunch :Hi:

Have a lovely day everyone xx

Morning all, it’s a dry day and looks pleasant enough. Some our daffodils are out, it’s always lovely to see their yellow cheeriness. Children today, although Kellie is going to play in a friend’s house, so I don’t have to collect her from there until 4pm. Then later, we will bring both children home to their house, put them to bed and then babysit, as Miss Osc and SIL are going out.

Good morning all, it's grey here but quite mild. I was regretting wearing my padded coat, bobble hat, scarf and gloves 10 minutes into our walk this morning!

I've got ironing to do and I want to hoover though too.

Well done to Elsa!

Ria, enjoy your day after a stressy start!

Crommers, you'll need a few days to recover

Have a good day all!

Morning all :D

Wet and miserable here

Well done Elsa.
Hope you don't have to wait too long for the samples Jan.
Good luck Crommers, you'll need a holiday
Saundra shame you won't see Scarlett today, hope her dad gets better soon.

Have a wonderful day Ria, hope it's a special day to remember xx

Weekly shopping for us, M&S then Tesco. I've thrown a casserole into the slow cooker so even if we do come home cold and wet, we have a lovely hot dinner to come back to.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Afternoon everyone :)

We nipped round to D's early on as the leak under her sink was at it again! Mick put a new seal on the end of the pups from her washing machine, but that hadn't sorted the problem, so we went to Screwfix for a new tap for it. Mick fixed it for her while D and I went to Sainsbury's. Pilates tonight, these Thursdays come around so quickly ;)

Ally, congrats to Elsa, and to you too 8-)

Crommers

Ria, that's wonderful 8-) xxx

That's a shame Saundra :( ((x))

Hi Jo :) It's warmed up a bit here too 8-) well-known

That's the handy thing about slow cookers Jen, I love mine!

No sign of the daffs here yet Osc, how lovely! :)

Love to all xxx
