Good to hear he's still well in himself Crommers.

My mother started with a diagnosis of vascular dementia, sadly she went on to develop alzheimers too. A mix of vascular dementia/alzheimers is the most common type of dementia. Progress is very slow, with hindsight we should have noticed her forgetfulness 3/4 years before she came to live with us. She was with us for over six years and subsequently in care for a further six years so a very slowly deterioration over a period of 14 years or so. By then her short term memory was almost non existent although occasionally she could surprise us. She was just short of her 91st birthday when she died almost three years ago and she would probably still be here if she hadn't developed cancer.
