Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 09 Feb 2020, 06:59

Good morning.

Sunny and warm forecast.

Late morning the rucksack will be going on and we'll be off for a good hike round our hills.

We'll do about 4 hours then head to Gambrinus for a beer and a bite to eat. :D

DOI & the fabulous Endeavour tonight. :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cloudy but mild.

Up later than planned  We were rudely woken up at 6.00 this morning as Molly decided to jump over my head and land on the bedside cabinet. Cabinet is shiny (I polished it yesterday  ) so she slid off it, taking the phone, book, fan and alarm clock with her    :cute:

We'll have a biggish breakfast to keep up going and will head off about 11.00. Should take a couple of hours, a couple of rows   and we'll be back tomorrow afternoon. Not taking the laptop, so won't be in touch until then.

Have a good couple of days, look after yourselves xx

Good morning all, it's horrendous here. I'm watching the rain pouring down the windows and the trees blowing in the woods behind the houses opposite.

I'm in total worry mode, Tom and Joe are both away and having to drive today. It's Tom's birthday and Shannon's taken him away for the weekend (we think they were going to Bletchley Park and staying in the area but it was a surprise for Tom so details were sketchy) so they'll have to drive from there to Ashbourne as Tom drove to Shannon's on a Friday night and then he'll have to drive home. Joe's in Cornwall so has a long drive back, I really need to try to persuade him to leave earlier than normal and give himself extra time.

Best wishes to Kaz for the drive back today xx

Stay safe all xx

Good morning here. The rain and wind have eased off a tiny bit here. Earlier the rain was lashing the windows and it went very dark - I'm sure I saw a flash of lightning. This is weird weather for January. Two of Sergio's fence panels have blown over, it's been that windy.
Good luck Jan. Enjoy your day Ally. Jo, I understand the worry. Safe travels to your lot, to Kaz and to everyone who has to make a journey today.
There have been some very hardy dog walkers out today! But not as many as usual, which is very understandable.
I think it's TV and staying in the warm as much as possible today.
Have a good one everybody.

When I worked for the police one year we had weather like this Jo. The joke at the time was that a police car patrolling the M62 had just called in the following message:- "This is car xx, on the M62 westbound. We have just been overtaken - by a garden shed!".

Morning all :D

High winds and now we have rain too

Z&M had planned to travel down by train, but they've all been cancelled in/out of Sevenoaks, it really isn't safe to be in a small car on the motorway today, so we've got the boys till tomorrow. Means they'll miss a day at school, but better that than them all being stranded here. Thank goodness for the corner shop and our freezer lol

Stay safe, hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all, it is still pretty windy but the torrential rain from earlier has stopped and the sun is shining! The wind is supposed to ease around midday according to the yellow level warning, and there is rain forecast on and off during the day. We are going dancing this afternoon unless the weather really closes in again. Only found out about Endeavour this morning, ITV is not on Sky but we will hope to get it on the Other Channels button.
