It will be Crommers, it's a big section that's come down and it'll have to be cleared quickly as it's blocking a public footpath.

Scarlett dad has messaged me part of his store roof has come down so he's in work not a happy manager today

Molly decided to jump over my head and land on the bedside cabinet. Cabinet is shiny (I polished it yesterday ) so she slid off it, taking the phone, book, fan and alarm clock with her

It must be the day for cats knocking things off!! Charlie knocked a lamp over in the spare bedroom (where the g/kids were sleeping) and broke the base I'd just bought a new lamp for the living room and the old one was waiting to be disposed of, so I changed the shades over and hey presto, a new lamp!

Well we've had the kiddiwinks to sleep overnight since 4pm yesterday till about 2.30 today. Exhausting is not the word - they're fab and we love them to bits but me, who NEVER sleeps in the day, has just had a nana nap!!! (hope I sleep tonight!!) We have played games with them constantly, done jigsaws, Tom took them to the dog track last night for a couple of hours (they asked if they could go)….to give me a break....they slept amazingly well and then today we braved the rain and winds to go swimming. Lily can't swim so far but the more she spends in the water, the more she wants to learn....so we're looking into lessons for her. Lewis is a fish, no need to worry about him....then on to McDonalds of course, they eat for the county - and then more games till Dad collected them. Phew!!! But we have enjoyed having them....even the creepy newborn doll that Lily takes EVERYWHERE!!

I'm checking the telly tonight and it's Endeavour and SAS....one will be recorded!

It's throwing it down as I speak but the winds, although strong, don't seem to be as bad here as I thought they'd be....more to come though so take care all!

Evening, all. Firstly, thoughts for all those trying to travel today; hope everyone makes it safely home.

I did venture out for a morning paper about 9:30, a short car drive to the local shop - it was extremely breezy, and one household nearby having some works done around their house had lost one of their temporary metal panel hoardings, but that wasn't much of a surprise, and as I remarked to Mrs O, the wind was only about the same as we experienced last year down Portland Bill following a spring storm.

And then about an hour later, the storm really hit! We have had gusts up to 60mph, I reckon: strong enough to move one of our 3 wheelie bins which we'd parked sideways in our back passage about 10 feet backwards - and that was the one that was 3/4ths full! Thankfully it didn't tip. And then we had a 5 minute deluge which overwhelmed our leaky guttering and flooded the front drive and garden.

Seems a bit calmer, now ......

Hope you can get that fallen tree sorted out, Saundra and your clothes line's survived.

Cheers Gal, neither have left yet Yep, Joe's still in Cornwall despite promising to leave earlier than usual (his usual is to leave by 8 since we persuaded him that leaving at 9 was far too late when he has work the following day).

He's going back on Thursday night.
