Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 22 Feb 2020, 06:13

Good morning.

Sunny and 24 degrees forecast.

A walk first then back for a bacon butty. :D

There's a carnival in town today and lots of stalls are set up in the plaza to celebrate the oncoming of Semana Blanca (white week.) There's a real party atmosphere (again! ) as it's school holidays for a week. :D :D

No twins this weekend as they both caught the AVE to Madrid yesterday. They've gone for a long weekend to hook up with some mates.

We'll go into town late afternoon and partake of some madness, have a beer or two and pick up a takeaway chicken on the way home. :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Another lovely morning and the makings of another rather warm one

Gaby bringing the car up this morning. He rang last night and apologised, but we didn't need it and much better to bring drive in the daylight than on the mad road that is the IC1 at night.

Carnival here too, and we could hear the music from Ourique  No need to go in then

Houseworkery stuff for me this morning and Grumpy is playing with sand again   One lot shifted and the last one to be finished off this morning.

Heading down to the bar this afternoon - their profits must be down, not been there for over a week  Will take a load of recycling down too. Not all the beer bottles, that would be too embarrassing  We'll take the rest into Ourique on Monday

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Ally that all sounds brilliant, hope you have a great time :)

Back on the road again then, Jan :Hi: :Hi:

Really hope you get out dancing tonight, Osc :) xx

Having brunch in Corretto's, I've been to SW on my own as B is working - better news this week as I lost a pound 8-) Off to see D in a while :)

It's dry here today and the wind has died down a bit - I hope there won't be any more heavy rainfall for a while, the flooding here is so bad :( The road we take to the Quays had all the fields flooded, either side of it! I messaged my friend who lives by the river in Ashleworth last night, as I heard it was badly affected - luckily her house is up a steep slope, but the church, school and corner shop are flooded :?

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all. Carnival sounds fun. I've taken MrsC to her dad's and done the shopping. Got her from her dads and dropped her off at our daughters, who is going out with some women from work this afternoon and coming home this evening. We're having Eliza overnight.
Have a good day all.

Afternoon all :D

We had heavy wind again last night, it's still a bit breezy, but nice and dry.

Got the meds okay yesterday, they weren't ready, but I didn't have to wait too long for them to be sorted. My ankle has been extra sore since Thursday so I'll be taking it easy this weekend. The bed sheets are in the wash and that's about it.

Hope you all have a good day :D

The car is back :Hi: :Hi:

He's given it a thorough going over, told us what we need to have done next time, whizzed through the mot and he'll take it again next year.

For all his work, all the bits that were needed, 260.00 euros. Bargain :D

Now need petrol and we'll have a beer in the bar on the way back, catch up with all the gossip

Good afternoon everybody,

We had blue skies this morning. Big change this afternoon with strong winds and heavy rain.
Went to Halfords this morning. I knocked the rear view mirror of the front windscreen. I had bout a new one on Friday. It was held on with a sucker.
Told this morning it would not stick to the glass. There is a small patch at the centre top of the screen which has a textured surface. The sucker on the new mirror will not grip this surface.

Have found Europarts sell an special adhesive to stick mirrors to windscreens. So will be going to the local depot on Monday..
Have been watching the rugby this afternoon
