Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 24 Feb 2020, 07:03

Good morning.

It was misty over the mountains first thing but the sun quickly appeared and it's forecast 23 degrees. 8-)

A run first then back for coffee. :D

Elsa (the student I gave extra B2 lessons to) sent me a whatsapp pic on Saturday of her holding a Pandora gift bag. As I hadn't charged her for the lessons (she was always one of my fave students and it was only for 3 months and to help her out) she said she'd finished this particular run of uni exams and had time to go shopping for a thank you present for me.
Anyway....she's calling round just after 11 with it. I'm full of curiosity. :P :P

This afternoon I'll catch up on last night's Last Tango in Halifax and I also need to put my boarding passes on the app on my phone. Oh and have a swim.

Masterchef tonight. :cute:

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cool start, but another 24C later 8-)

Sounds intriguing Ally :D

Hopefully, the last - for now  - of the weeding this morning. I did one bank yesterday, just need to finish off the other this morning. Grumpy still has a small pile of sand to play with

Off to Ourique this afternoon. The library books need to go back, we need acid for the pool, pay the car tax and also necessities, like beer ;) Will have a pit stop at the bar on the way home.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing x

Morning you two :)

Ally, can't wait to see your present! Your help must have been invaluable :D xxx

Jan I wish it would stop raining long enough to mow our lawn  It's grown so much that it was rippling in the wind the other day, but it's like a quagmire out there! :(

It's raining - again! Really windy - again! To say I'm fed up with it is an understatement :cute: Usual Monday stuff here, our to meet Em and maybe Jaqui too, although she cares for her mum and hasn't been able to make it often lately :( Need to buy some baby wool for D, as she's knitting Poppy another cardi. Zuma tonight.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Good morning from Rainyville, Rainyshire, RainyEngland. Where it is raining. Again. I would love a couple of days of warm sun; I bet Kaz would as well.
|I have honestly never known so much rain.
MrsC has gone on dad transport then I'm dropping her off to have coffee with a friend before nipping into Sainsbury's for the ingredients for a chicken curry.
We need our gutters cleaning but it never stops raining long enough for us to fix an appointment!
We need some cash from the atm as well.
Have a great day everyone!

Morning all :D

Dry and very windy at the moment, but we've had rain and I think more's on it's way.

Looking at photo's up north, you might need snowboots Ally :o How lovely Elsa is popping in to say thank you.

My sister was planning to come over from Oz in Aug/Sept, she's not mentioned it since this all started so I think they are reconsidering. They usually spend some time with us then travel about in the UK. We normally get back together in London, this time they were considering Dublin instead. Afterwards they travel over to France and Italy and tour about a bit before going back home. She hasn't mentioned it since the virus started and by now they would be booking hotels, B&B's etc so I'm pretty sure it won't be happening. Tbh much as I'd like to see her this year isn't ideal for us. Hopefully E won't have to wait too long for his op once we get back from Barbados, so I doubt we'll be up to much gallivanting about this summer.

We need to pop out for a few bits later, not looking forward to it in this wind, but hey ho needs must and all that.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all

Had a such a lovely weekend - Saturday in Brighton with a friend and yesterday I had a very satisfactory clean of the house; been well overdue and such a sense of satisfaction at the end of it :D

Ally, can't wait to see what Elsa got you - I do quite like Pandora stuff
Kaz and Crommers; couldn't agree more - I am so sick and tired of this rain and wind and more rain and more wind. Just want to get out there with the lawnmower and tidy the garden and be outside and feel some warmth on my face. On the plus side though, it is getting lighter noticeably earlier and also dark later but that's the only positive at the moment.
Jan, hope you get all you need to get done, done
Jen, in a way glad it's working out if your sister doesn't come over - you'd all have a much better time together next year

Have a lovely day all x

Afternoon all, it’s bright but very windy here too. I’ve been busy - been to the gym, a cuppa in the cafe afterwards. Then home to put on a batch of soup and while that was cooking, I went in the attic to look for some photos for Miss Osc, one of her oldest friends is getting married in April and the hen is this weekend, so I think she wants to put together a montage of some sort for her. Of course, that took a while because...well....old photos  I’ve had my lunch and now need to do some ironing.
