Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 10 Mar 2020, 06:31

Good morning.

I think Spring has passed us by this year and gone straight into early summer. :?

Usual 2 classes then meeting friend for coffee, pitufo and cake. :D

Work 4 - 7 then home to summer-in-winter chicken a la Don and Masterchef.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Gorgeous morning 8-)

Washing machine on and I'll be heading outside to do more weeding. Sun cream on (factor 6  )

Other than that, not a lot 8-)

Meatballs and spaghetti for dinner, in a creamy mushroom sauce. Not one of Grumpy's favourite's, but tough 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing x

Morning all :D

It's been raining, but seems to be clearing now.

Up at silly o'clock as I have a hair appointment a bit earlier than usual this morning. It should have been done last week, but my hairdresser was on holiday in Mexico. Betting it will even more manic than usual today!!!

Our holibobs is looking very unlikely right now. Barbados has no cases at present and they've already banned flights from some countries, Italy included. Our health bods are predicting that our numbers are due to increase to that level in the next few weeks so I think it's just a matter of time before we're included in the list. Obviously if BA cancel flights we will get a refund. Airbnb have included coronavirus in their exceptions rule and are saying if we're unable to go because of flight restrictions or either government preventing travel we will be refunded through them too. We'll be gutted if we can't go, but it's out of our control so what will be will be.

Have a good day :D

Morning all :D

a dull and grey start to the day here; temperatures are warmer, but still so much rain and wind - so tired of it. Ally and Jan, please send some of that sunshine over here!

Usual'ish work day today - our company has decided that tomorrow everyone in the company, globally, has to do a trial "work from home" morning. But because I live an hour and a half commute out I'll be doing a full day working from home; yippeee no commuting. As it is, we have a few colleagues who have been away on holiday and they've been told to not come in for the rest of the week so all a bit of an odd vibe here at the moment

Hope you all have a lovely day xx

Morning all :)

Ally, Jan, I'd kill for those temps right now! Lovely - enjoy :D 8-)

Ria, Mick's work are discussing home working too, but of course he already does. It is an odd time, I agree xx

Jen, we're wondering about our holiday too, and I hope we both get away to our respective destinations, but as you and Saundra both said, it's out of our hands! We've decided that if we can't get to Corfu we will try to get away somewhere here instead, and take the girls and possibly the dogs as well, to still get a break. Maybe you and E could do that too xx

Hope you can get some joy from the HA, Saundra  xx

Well I'm in town, about to walk up to see D, for lunch. It was quiet out, but M&S is heaving, as per :) Strangely enough the Zumba class last night was quiet - now surely people fit enough to do Zumba would have no need to self-isolate, but there you go :? :?:

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all, just.
Windy, rainy sunny here. MrsC has sorted some money out for her dad. I'm stopping in today, still a bit under the weather but nothing serious.
27c, blimey i could do with some of that. I think everyone in the UK could. If not that then a week without strong winds and rain would be nice.
Have a good day all.

Good afternoon all, it's dull here but at least we've not had the 16 hours of heavy rain that was forecast from yesterday evening until late morning today!

I walked Bill and then popped into town. I particularly wanted to go to Asda as they have a foodbank trolley and I've been a bit concerned, plus there was a feature about it on local radio yesterday, that foodbanks will suffer during this panic buying so I wanted to make a donation. It was good to see that the trolley was overflowing.

Jen and Kaz, I'm worried about our holiday and also Joe and Amanda's as they're off to Rome at the end of May. I've read this morning that it's expected that the Coachella festival in California in April is likely to be postponed until later in the year so I'm not sure if that's going to be the start of events cancelling and places closing. Usually I'd be buying tickets for various things by now eg there's a baseball game which John wants to go to and I want to buy timed tickets for the Warner Brothers tour but I'm holding off. It's hard to get excited when everything is uncertain.

Have a good day all :)
