There are no cases in the Alentejo, although up north, there's quite a few. Less in the Algarve, Porto and Lisbon have been hit.

Our local mayor, Marcello, has cancelled the annual pig fair, shut the swimming pool, library and other places. Schools shut on Monday for 3 or 4 weeks.

We were down the bar earlier and Asvedo, all 80 odd years, insisted we shake hands, because there's nada here

I can't believe the irresponsibility of allowing Cheltenham week to carry on, and apparently the London Marathon is happening too. What will it take for the authorities to show some common sense?

Sadly, money talks!

It should never have gone ahead Kaz, same with Crufts at the NEC last weekend. I've read that a some upcoming events at the NEC, including Comic Con which is very well attended, have today been called off and Evanescence have cancelled their show there in May.
The St Patrick's Day parade in Birmingham, which is a really big event in the city, isn't happening either. They're hoping to hold that later in the year.

I was wrong, it isn't the London Marathon that's going ahead, it's the Bath half-marathon! I misheard it on the local news
