Thanks Jan, I think we do....just a shame that it has to be a virtual hug

We're lucky here in that we only have to walk around the corner and we have the common, it's quite usual to walk on there for miles and not see anyone else.

Yesterday, Boris Johnson said people should stop all unnecessary travel, and should work from home if possible.
He also said pubs, clubs and other social places should be avoided and whole households should self-isolate for
14 days if any individual in it develops covid-19 symptoms. People who may be particularly vulnerable to the virus
may soon be asked to stay home for 12 weeks.

It makes one wonder if we are taking this matter seriously enough.

I think that I understqand what Aggers is getting at.

The local buses don't seem any less used than normal. I pass the supermarket and pub on my way home. The supermarket car park is just as full as normal - the shoppers must be somewhere - and the pub has just as many smokers outside in their 'zone', and the inside isn't empty by any means.

I reckon that it's going to take a big jump in the numbers before quite a few more take things really seriously. Sad, but probably true.

Our President will decide today whether this country will be in a State of Emergency or not.

Jo, it doesn't sound like it in your parents' case, but there have been cases reported of people targeting the elderly, offering to do shopping, taking money or even a bank card ( ) from them, and robbing them :? :(
